RealClearPolitics White House and National Political Correspondent Susan Crabtree dropped an important report on the failure of the Secret Service to protect President Donald J. Trump and those around him during last week’s Pennsylvania rally.
According to Crabtree, the potential lack of drones and the “DEI” protocols at the Secret Service contributed to the failure, but the biggest reason Trump’s life was put in danger is because rules of engagement prohibit snipers from engaging until the assassin shoots first.

When I go on ‘news’ or ‘news Trump’ to look to see what else there is surprisingly no immediate articles come up about this whole assassination attemopt.
Kind of reminds me of when a kid is guilty and he doesn’t want to talk about it.
I would question when this ROE went into effect.
No time, no comms. From what I heard, shooter fired VERY shortly after the cop backed down.
Cop should have gotten out of view, drawn his weapon, popped up again and surprised the shooter by emptying his clip.
Well, that guy is afraid of walking the wrong direction and falling off the stage I think.
Very accurate. And again, Secret Service can assign tasks, but can NEVER assign responsibility. Never!
It wasn’t the Secret Service that were the counter-snipers. Their tactical vests say very clearly, “POLICE,” on them.

As a long time long range shooter, this is bull. They have probably a 6x36 Night Force on the rifle from 140 yards and can’t tell a rifle from a telescope? You can see bulletholes in a target at 200 yards with a $3000 riflescope, that is a fact!
Apparently, the rules of engagement for the Capitol Police are considerably different, they weren’t worried about Ashley Babbit firing first!

I remember on this forum when a policeman tried to stop a shoplifter, who had been banned from the store already but went back to steal, and was caught in her door where she was driving away, dragging him off to a certain death. He shot and killed her and one frreeper wondered why he just didn’t do a warning shot in the air!!!!!

Why no drone over the venue? Trump’s team should not use Open Air venues for these rallies. Too many areas to cover for potential shooters. 130 yard shot is nothing.
