Maybe there was a don’t shoot first order from command center.
Correct maybe they can’t shoot him but it’s obvious they know there is a situation but nobody tell Trump to take cover until the threat is ascertained. Too many dooshbags.

Trump saved himself by hitting the ground. The SS then dogpiled him. I’ll give them credit for blocking him while getting to the limo but not “saving’ him. By the way, Trump’s quick reaction should shut down the too old claims.
That video just gave me epilepsy.
At least it proves people were screaming “gun” several seconds before the shots.
This is now getting walked back. Secret Service says no permission was needed to shoot.
I'd wager more than a few folks I know and don't know could make that shot with a handgun.

If the ladder was permanent there would have been a cage around it.
Surprised the people around him didn’t throw bottles or something at him. Was just right there. Of course they were afraid he would turn the gun on them. Saw a video from other side of building that saw him taking the shots and then they said he turned towards them. A second later he was taken down. He likely thought he could turn and get back down the roof and out of sight of snipers. Would like to know what the view was from the security scope.

Either way, I have not seen footage of him through the whole time he was on the roof.
It is being reported that the countersniper that shot him had him for 3 minutes and couldnt get clearance. Ive seen it elsewhere reported that roof arrival to him being shot was 9 minutes.
If this is true then this would suggest that for the first 6 minutes, for one reason or another they could not see him.
Who was yelling or pointing or how loud had nothing to do with anything other than intentionally crafting a false narrative (not suggesting that you were one of those involved).
Then again, my whole point is that these countersnipers really have nothing to do with anything that happened.
When you go to McD and there is no pickle on your bun but everyone else got one then that is the fault of the kid that made your sandwich.
If the price of your sandwich is $20 then that is the fault of the CEO.
Why are so many here intentionally obfuscating the conversation and insisting that we pop the tires on the employees car in retaliation for disagreeing with the price?
This is the same situation. Those we see on duty likely had little to do with anything that went wrong. This failure lies somewhere between the on site supervisor and “CEO” Biden, well, his handlers anyway.
Someone intentionally pulled away Trumps regular team, I doubt the barn team had anything to do with that.
Someone didnt leave enough agents to properly cover the whole area, that doesnt mean that the two on the roof necessarily decided that the barn was the best place to set up.
There are people stating that its their fault for not setting up a large enough area which is obviously true. We also know they didnt have enough people and they are claiming that there were supposed to be others like local LE involved and Homeland Security. It almost seems that this is true. If they had enough people and were tasked with covering the whole area then they would have likely put someone up on the water tower as that person could easily cover 1000yds.
They likely didnt because if there was going to be someone threatening then they were likely going to come from those nearby buildings and if they were up on the tower the buildings would be offering cover with their targets on the wrong side.
They went to the roof and set up. They set up from the beginning facing that way and looking that way because “they were in on it and knew” that this is where the attack was going to come from? Yes, thats a very clever way to throw the masses off the trail.
When a box of receipts shows up on his desk the accountant does the taxes. No one needs to tell him how to do that.
I would imagine that as the countersniper on a security team that one would face the way that seems to have the highest likelihood of the threat coming from. This would be obvious and no one would have to tell them to do that.
In other words, the team on the roof were doing as best they could which was shown by their actions.
Focus on the problem, not the distraction being perpetrated.

But someone of the ground, from the vantage point of the video could have easily shot him.

Secret Service falls under DHS, not DOJ.
