Stick a fork in Joe Biden. He's done.
After the recent turmoil his party went through after the debate, which significantly damaged his candidacy and prompted calls for him to drop out, Democratic strategists who spoke with NBC News on Sunday say that now the failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump most certainly was the true end of his hopes of getting reelected.
"We're so beyond f---ed," lamented a longtime Democratic insider, emphasizing that the image of Trump thrusting his fist in the air, blood dramatically smeared across his face, will be an unforgettable image between now and Election Day.
"The presidential contest ended last night," said another veteran Democratic consultant, who spoke with the network anonymously to offer an honest assessment of the party's position in the wake of Saturday night's tragic events, which also resulted in the death of one rally attendee and seriously wounded two others.
"Now it's time to focus on keeping the Senate and trying to pick up the House," he added. "The only silver lining for Democrats is that we're no longer talking about Joe Biden's age today."
A Biden campaign spokesperson pointed to the president's Monday interview with NBC Nightly News host Lester Holt, along with his primetime speech scheduled for Sunday night, saying he would give "a forceful and needed address to update the nation on the horrifying attack on Donald Trump and the need for every American to come together to not just condemn, but put to an end political violence in this country once and for all.""Following the president’s interview Monday evening, both the DNC and the campaign will continue drawing the contrast between our positive vision for the future and Trump and Republicans’ backwards-looking agenda over the course of the week," the campaign official said.

I heard on the radio that he had tried to join the High School rifle team (they still have them, but use precision air rifles so a classroom can be used as a range) and he was not invited back.
Trump’s raised fist and bloodied face in response deserves a Sabaton song and video.
A friend who runs local rifle training programs told me about the surprising number of tofu-crunchies who were joining their programs. Make no mistake, the brownshirt arm of the democrat party is learning to shoot.

Also, another big tell is if all the "replace Biden" talk halts and he pretty much cruises through to the convention. Why would that be a tell, you ask? Well, it likely means democrats realize the Presidency is a lost cause and would rather a damaged Biden take the fall than stick Kamala or Newsom in there, risk them losing anyway and being damaged goods come 2028.
I have a feeling we were close to this happening even before the Trump assassination attempt, that was likely the straw that broke the camels back though.
Pedal to the medal. No letting up. Before or after the election. If Trump wins they are going burn the country down.
I seriously doubt that he will take office at the designated time. They will disrupt the legal system and the country as long as they can to prevent that.
An electoral win is the beginning of a war, not the end.
I’m involved with the county GOP in a key GA county and I assure you it is still pedal to the metal here and will remain so. People were already pissed and motivated due to overall treatment of Trump and the 2020 steal. This adds to it.

Message: Subpoena these lawmakers. Taxpayers demand to know who organized this heinous assault on democracy-----exposing candidates to harm and assassination----and the number of tax dollars and tax-subsidized aides and office supplies that were used in this atrocity.
Maybe. But he came within a few millimeters of a fatal hit. I understand that Trump turned his head at just the right moment. At 120-150 yards, that is more than sufficient accuracy.
That isn’t a failure of marksmanship. That is pure chance, or divine intervention.
Or, perhaps, a matter of lacking actual sniper training, not marksmanship. He just didn’t fire enough shots at the same point of aim.
Me, I’m going with divine intervention.
Since he came THAT close, I doubt there was a scope problem.
Hillary didn’t have an assassination attempt.
