There is a third possibility - that Trumps security detail is is way too small and over stretched to do the job properly.

In Trump's case, think about how many demands have been made on his SS staff with multiple trial dates for malicious prosecutions in hostile locations and multiple campaign events around the country.
The tempo of work for these people has been off the charts and a lot of it has been done intentionally by the Biden Admin to over whelm and over stress not just Trump but his security as well Trump That said, this is a pretty huge breakdown in security by the boots on the ground SS and it really needs to be looked at.
But I think the real issue here is the Biden Admin's weaponization of the SS against political rivals and even Supreme Court Justices by the willful and malicious withholding of security assets from Trump and RFK Jr in hopes of intimidatingn them or having them restrict their campaigns or risk assassinations.
Several of the Supreme Court Justices also had assassination threats by Antifa style protesters illegally gathered outside their homes at all hours.
The Biden Admin refused to have law enforcement remove the protesters and also refuse them security details until there was a serious assassination attempt on one of the justices.
I don’t know anything about tactics and how quickly he should have been shot, but of course he shouldn’t have been able to get there to begin with.
He/they had their chance. I dont know which yet.
I assume he will be blanketed by security now and for a wide swath of area....maybe places easier to protect.

The pic makes it obvious that there was some carelessness afoot. I had thought that Trump’s own security team would have covered all those points or demanded that SS do it. Now I wonder if some SS are suborned.
On the video you can hear somebody say “Shooter is down”; and then they get the President up. (Could have been more shooters though).
After he is standing, Trump says something how he wants his shoes!

Biden can be done without fanfare with a simple pillow and some downward pressure or with something added to his medication. However, they might feel they need the sympathy reaction vote that making a “martyr” of him would supposedly get.
when this first happened, i was hitting all the cable channels trying to get info. Shannon Bream at Fox was the worst...that little snot wouldnt even say there was blood on Trumps face for at least 15 minutes. The bubble head actually said it could maybe just be “firecrackers”. Shes supposedly the “down the middle journalist” at Fox. Everytime she has a Republican on, she makes sure she answers them back with democrat talking points. She fools no one, shes a Trump hater thru and thru.
During the 2000 campaign one of the candidates came to ATL, I think Gore. I was working in a downtown high rise 15 or 20 floors up. From my office we could see counter snipers on roofs. 6 rooftops is nothing. This was either raw incompetence or, worse, a planned lapse. And no, I do not think the latter impossible.
Trump moved his head at last second before he could have been killed. The shooter did not really “miss.”
It was not incompetence.
It was intentional.
