Black Caucus largely sticks by Biden, but worries grow about whether his candidacy can survive

WASHINGTON — As more and more Democrats call on President Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 race, members of the Congressional Black Caucus, a key group of allies on Capitol Hill, remain largely supportive of the president but concerned that the ongoing pressure may prove fatal for his campaign and damage the party overall.

“I have loyalty to Biden, no question about it,” said longtime Rep. Emanuel Cleaver, D-Mo. “As things stand, I want him to win. But if he says, ‘You know, I’ve been listening and chatting with people and I don’t want to go any further,’ or something like that, I am ready for somebody who can win. I think everybody, all of us, are obsessed with winning because it’s too serious not to be there.”

Asked if Biden can survive the crisis, Cleaver paused and simply replied, “I don’t know."

CBC members are keenly aware that things aren’t going well for the Biden campaign, he said. “Nobody in the CBC is mentally ill, which would have to be the case for somebody who said, ‘Oh, this is great. Everything is fine,’” Cleaver said. “We’d be trying to get them locked up someplace.”

One of the CBC members who spoke on the condition of anonymity said they “doubt” Biden can make it four more years as president and believe there has been a noticeable decline in his health. But that Democrat said they wanted to see Biden remain in the race, win re-election and then resign, making Harris the first Black woman to become president.

Trump is winning the entire working class. Not just white working class. Trump leads with ALL working class likely to vote.

Staying on the plantation. Promises made, promises denied.

There is a building wave of rodents demanding that Pinocchio drop out.
This is a movement not grounded in reality. Crime Boss Joey can’t quit now or Dollar Hunter, Uncle Jimmy Aunt Sara, and many other Biden Crime Family members can go to jail for income tax evasion.
We may yet see Joey leave but it will be too late to help the rodents.
Of course, when the rodents get REALLY desperate we will know it. They will start talking about how Joey has been paying his blackmailers in Ukraine off with our money. They can point to the threat to withhold the $1 Billion unless the guy who was investigating Dollar Hunter was fired. Remember the video of a smug Joey saying “He WAS fired!”
Well someone in the Ukraine government had to have made that happen. Zelinskyy has been threatening to start talking about this for two years while stealing our tax money by blackmailing Joey. When they start talking about that we will know they are desperate.

What a curious statement.

“Staying on the plantation. Promises made, promises denied.”

It must be said, to avoid introducing new metaphors, that plantation workers need to be very careful not to cross the rules set out for their conduct.

Field workers need to keep quiet or speak indirectly in code; they sure don't need to be talkin’ loud and shootin’ off their mouth about the plantation owner's business.

Dems could have an advantage if they time it right. Put a young fresh face in for the last month of the campaign. Honeymoon phase through the election. Not enough time for a thorough vetting. Republicans should already have opposition research on all possible nominees.

That’s because most of them enjoy being on the plantation, and getting on their knees to their RAT massa.

We see soon enough if the black vote votes as a block. Somehow I tend to doubt that has changed with everything else.

Blacks sticking with Biden as the ship sinks to the bottom.

Song
No White Flag
by Dido (2003)

I know you think that I shouldn’t still love you
Or tell you that
But if I didn’t say it, well, I’d still have felt it
Where’s the sense in that?

I promise I’m not trying to make your life harder
Or return to where we were
And when we meet
Which I’m sure we will
All that was there
Will be there still

I’ll let it pass
And hold my tongue
And you will think
That I’ve moved on

I will go down with this ship
And I won’t put my hands up and surrender

There will be no white flag above my door
I’m in love and always will be

I will go down with this ship
And I won’t put my hands up and surrender

There will be no white flag above my door
I’m in love and always will be

“Staying on the plantation. ”

Why wouldn’t they stay, the Congressional Black Caucus basically runs the plantation. They are like the black slaveholders of the past except they don’t use a whip, they use taxpayer money and fear tactics to keep their people in chains.

“Republicans should already have opposition research on all possible nominees.”

If the Democrats nominate a chimpanzee we are in big trouble—no opposition research has been prepared on every chimpanzee in the country.

I’m listening to Biden’s rally in Detroit.

I’ve never heard anything like it that was so obviously staged. He’s not talking about anything he will do, just bitching about Trump; and started out sucking up to unions.

That sounds great except that Black voters like every other group are voting for Trump as the only way to get us free of the torturous policies ALL rodents have voted for and forced on us. So whomever to put up is toast - but remember Pinocchio is NOT quitting PERIOD. They may throw in out but he is NOT quitting. There is a pot of $240 million to steal and he won’t let go of that money voluntarily.
