Renewable do not work as a primary source of power. At best, they might be a source of power to generate hydrogen. It doesn’t matter how reliable or iffy the renewable is if we never have to rely on it as a primary source of power.

Energy rates are free market but infrastructure costs are still regulated by ercot. To hide wind costs grid maintenance is delayed. Thus Texas now has an expensive unreliable grid.
