The French election results showed that the “alliance of dishonour” between President Emmanuel Macron and the far left effectively blocked the populist National Rally from gaining a majority despite the Le Pen party having won the most votes.
According to the French Interior Ministry, Marine Le Pen’s National Rally (RN) won the most votes of any party during Sunday’s second round of the snap legislative elections at over 8.7 million, good for 32.05 per cent of the vote.
When combined with their electoral alliance partners from disputed Les Républicains president Eric Ciotti, who earned nearly 1.4 million, good for 5 per cent of the vote, that would take the right wing to over 10 million and 37.05 per cent of the vote.

The other parties won more sets by getting more votes than RN in the individual seats
Ah, thanks
I think it just proves that the Left WILL join forces with the (supposedly) hated Communists to defeat the Right...
“democracy”
Same thing happened in Canada, Trudeau and NDP leader formed a coalition government. THe lefty socilaist will do anything they can to rule by ideology rather than with constitutionally establsihed principles.
Its a propblem all over Western nations. As a result the West no longer can be called , “The Free World.” Biden, MAcron, TRudeau and all the rest do not want democracy, they want absolute unending power because the believe in the superiority of their NWO progressive values.
In fact we no longer have representative government, nor do we have a truly informed electorate, the press lies and supports the leftist agenda.
A royal battle will happen in Europe, and the population there has to rise up and reject these radicals as happened in The Netherlands.
Biden is holding a NATO summit today for all of these lefties, NWO bastids. Nothing good will come of it.
Macron = the neoCON globohomo ‘centrist’ types who would rather see communists take power than the right wing conservatives.
Sound familiar?
Good post.
The Left fundamentally believes in one thing: POWER
Great points
“Biden is holding a NATO summit today for all of these lefties, NWO bastids. Nothing good will come of it.”

You can be sure that whatever comes out of it will be to the benefit of the hard core Lefties who control it.
France has a stupid proportional representation system. Le Pen didn’t get but about 35%. The other parties split about 65% . . . BUT . . . the Macaroni delegates resigned and allowed the Socialists to fill the seats, thus 65% beats 35%.
Thanks for the explanation
The problem with these more sensible parties, is that there is a hard ceiling, they could get to 40%, but that’s about it. 60% are against them, and would vote for Hitler against them.
What it proves is that the elites do not like freedom. Freedom is actually what they abhor. They are impressed with the control tyranny affords them to rule as they see fit. Those who have been paying attention see that freedom is no longer something to be celebrated & promoted, because in the eyes of he elites, most of the people are unworthy of using the scarce resources this planet has to offer. They have desired for decades to rise the level of stupidity.
They do not have an Electoral College to protect them from the big cities.
Might not have made a difference this time, however.
“France has a stupid proportional representation system.”
It doesn’t, it has a first past the post system.
Put it this way. They have a MULTI PARTY system, which in essence becomes proportional representation, as there is not two-party system to push for a majority.
It has 577 election districts. Each has its own election like US Congressional Districts. The wrench in the works is multiple parties that aren’t tokens. The US would have similar results with more than two serious parties.
Yes. They generally have two rounds of votes unless one gets over 50%. Since they knew Le Pen’s party would get to the mid 30’s the left and center parties agreed to form a coalition before the election; with many agreeing to drop out in order not to split votes in the 2nd round.
But because they are a coalition, no other party got more votes than Le Pen. They basically have agreed to form a coalition before they even got to the vote. We’ll see if they can hold it together or if these parties are too strange bedfellows to govern.
That sounds like a system that will eventually blow itself apart.
