Ukraine Would Not Have Hit Sevastopol Without US' Direct Participation - Russian FM Lavrov

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Ukrainian missiles would not have hit Russian cities, including Sevastopol, without direct US involvement in targeting, and Moscow will respond "in the foreseeable future," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Sunday.

"Without the direct involvement of the United States in the targeting and processing of satellite data, these missiles would not have gone anywhere ... As for our response, the [Russian] president said we will respond, and I'm sure you'll hear about it in the foreseeable future," Lavrov told Russian journalist Pavel Zarubin.

The diplomat said NATO and the US continue to insist on their non-involvement in the conflict with Russia, and called it a "bad play" evident to everyone.

On June 23, Ukrainian forces attacked Sevastopol – the largest city on the Crimean Peninsula – using ATACMS missiles with cluster warheads provided by the US. Four of the missiles were shot down and one deflected, causing it to detonate over the city.

The attack claimed four lives, including two children, and injured 153 people, including 27 children. The next day after the attack, Russia summoned US Ambassador in Moscow Lynne Tracy to express protest. The United States bears equal responsibility with Kiev for the missile strike on the civilian population of Sevastopol, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

“Ukraine Would Not Have Hit Sevastopol Without US’ Direct Participation - Russian FM Lavrov”

Is the sky blue? Does day follow night?

Anyway, some good came out of the beach bombing in that Neocon drones have not been seen in the Black Sea since that brilliant move (at least through Friday, nearly 2 weeks), and so things are far, far, quieter in Crimea.

We provided the missiles. Maybe the Intel. So what? The Russians have no business being there in the first place. They deserve it.

They deserve it and they won’t do anything overt to Western countries in response, because that would ensure the surge in Western operations Russia cannot withstand.

However, we need Trump to end this war.

This is a huge mistake by the Biden Administration.

It is a border line act of war against Russia by the United States and highlights the dangers of providing long range missiles to Ukraine.

The attack was ill conceived regardless of the involvement.

If the US was involved, which is almost a certainty, we are getting close to committing acts of war against Russia.

If the US was not involved, it highlights the dangers of supplying advanced weapons to an irresponsible, desperate, corrupt and probably illegitimate Ukrainian regime.

What happens when an American aircraft carrier gets hit and severely damaged or even sunk by an Iranian supplied Houthi missile with “Russian technology”

FWIW, the Russians have reportedly captured both an intact US ATACMS missile battery system and a NATO Storm Shadow missile, both of which are massive intelligence disasters for the West.

If some dip of an enlisted PFC gave a tech manual for one of these weapons systems to the Russians they would court martialed and thrown in Leavenworth for the rest of their live.

Joe Biden and Lloyd Austin gave them entire intact ATACMS and Storm Shadow weapons systems

What a goat rope.

Ukraine does not need US intelligence data or satellite sensor data to locate targets in occupied Ukraine or Russia.

High resolution satellite images are readily available to anybody who wants to buy them. The Ukrainian military has the advantage of hundreds of thousands of on the ground observers and partisans in the occupied areas of Ukraine.

There are people that post pictures of passing convoys, times and directions of outgoing fire, etc. regularly on publicly viewable social media sites.

And unlike the situation in most previous wars Ukraine gets near real time battle damage assessment videos from bystanders with cell phones.

“Nice to see the three together here, who are a cancer on Free Republic and an affront to truth.”

Now you’re calling people who disagree with you a “cancer on Free Republic”. I believe that level of name calling is AGAINST THE RULES on Free Republic.

Good ban me for speaking the truth against three constant name calling propagandists.

True communist tactics to silence opposition.
