Wisconsin Supreme Court overturns ruling that barred most ballot drop boxes
Nbc ^

Posted on 07/05/2024 7:20:27 AM PDT by janetjanet998

The Wisconsin Supreme Court on Friday ruled 4-3 to reinstate the use of most ballot drop boxes across the crucial battleground state, overturning a decision it made less than two years ago that banned the use of most of those boxes.

"Our decision today does not force or require that any municipal clerks use drop boxes," the decision Friday read. "It merely acknowledges...that clerks may lawfully utilize secure drop boxes in an exercise of their statutorily-conferred discretion."

“Chevron” defeat anyone? Ripe for Federal Courts.

But the WI legislature and/or RNC do NOTHING.

You are right. But does it matter?

Look at it as the Courts do.
Who has suffered ‘harm’?
Can that harm be proven by objective evidence?
Is the one who has been harmed bringing the action to the proper court? (Standing and venue).

Can these be questions be answered here?
I won’t give any hints.

“The Wisconsin Supreme Court doesn’t have jurisdiction. The Constitution states that the manner of election is determined by the legislatures of the States.”

At EVERY turn the democrats compel SCOTUS involvement in their rampant and ubiquitous lawlessness, and then when SOTUS corrects their myriad wrongs, the ululating about a rogue court grows more shrill.

I fear we’re in the waning days of our soft civil war...

CHAIN OF CUSTODY should be the main argument.

I hope they enjoy what they get.

I was referring to the previous bogus election for Wisconsin Supreme Court judges.

First decision made when they had republicans on the court.

Second decision made by court that has a liberal court that was elected using voter fraud in Madison and Milwaukee.

The Left has no shame. Every media outlet, independent journalist, etc could do stories with irrefutable proof about their lack of shame and nefarious activity, it will not matter to the very, very large majority of Democrat voters.

Yep, but if not by that, then by some other means - likely the same trick they used last time: repetitive counting of the same box of ballots over and over again.

But the WI gop will need to grow a spine and nads to chop this down before the election this year. Their constituents will need to seriously squeeze them to get them to move on it.

There needs to be a way to locate these drop boxes in locations that places the current government at a disadvantage.

My suggestion: drop boxes should be placed in areas where voters are harassed by government. Where people pay property taxes. Or pay court fines. Or where people register vehicals. Or have to be licensed. Or (for truckers) at DOT weigh stations. Anytime a voter is angry at government would be an opportunity for a ballot to be cast.

An angry voter, at the time they are most offended is the prime time for them to vote.

They will do it one way or the other. They can’t afford to allow Trump a victory.

Yeah the GOP took a dive on that one. They let the rats get the majority without a fight.
