New York Dem will introduce amendment to reverse Supreme Court immunity ruling

Rep. Joe Morelle (D-N.Y.) said Monday he will introduce a constitutional amendment to reverse the Supreme Court ruling issued Monday, which largely shields former presidents from criminal prosecution for actions in office. “I will introduce a constitutional amendment to reverse SCOTUS’ harmful decision and ensure that no president is above the law. This amendment will do what SCOTUS failed to do—prioritize our democracy,” Morelle wrote on the social platform X.

They are desperate to kill Trump.

But good luck getting this past the high hurdles needed for an Amendment. Maybe the Dems will just “deem” it passed.

Rep. Joe Morelle (D-N.Y.) must be drunk, high and/or stupid.

It will never happen.

Kind of dense, isn’t he? This ruling protects Biden, Obama and Clinton, as much as it protects Trump and any other president. Of course, Biden’s document stashing from his VP days isn’t protected.

It’s definitely posturing to get votes. But they also think the inertia of their outrage gives this a chance.

An amendment may be proposed by a two-thirds vote of both Houses of Congress, or, if two-thirds of the States request one, by a convention called for that purpose. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the State legislatures, or three-fourths of conventions called in each State for ratification.

They only like the Supreme Court when it decides in their favor. If it’s not a tool for the dems, like the F.B.I., the C.I.A. and others then it’s an evil devise for the Republicans.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A local Congressman wants to clear the air after the filing of an ethics complaint this week.

“I want to be clear,” said Rep. Joe Morelle Thursday. “I did not threaten anyone’s job and I did not threaten funding for RIT, which is an institution I’ve worked with for many years. I released the entire communication I had with RIT so that gives people the opportunity to review it they can make their own assessment.”

Congressman Joe Morelle responded to Monroe County Legislator Sabrina LaMar’s call for a congressional ethics investigation, claiming Morelle tried to have her fired from her job at the Rochester Institute of Technology, after she appeared on his political opponent’s web show.
“It’s clear that Ms. LaMar believes that my intent, despite the fact that I didn’t intend and did not threaten anyone’s job or to hurt RIT in any way, that she feels threatened, and for that I am deeply sorry. I apologize to her. I would never want that to happen and I’m sorry my actions caused her pain.”

It doesn’t have to go anywhere.

This is meant to try to goose their dwindling base to the polls and help try to explain away another steal.

It’s cover.

Interesting approach.
So, then, each President will pardon him- or herself as needed?
Should be comical, at least.

In truth, SloJo should have come out to the podium, yesterday, and said, simply, “Thanks Mr. Trump. You saved my bacon.”

This goes two ways, idiot democrats.

If the bill passes then Bill Clinton will be thrown in prison for his order in 1999 to strike a commuter train in Serbia, killing scores of civilians. That was a direct war crime. Democrats will blame NATO but it was Clinton who demanded the hit. He also bombed a medicine factory in Sudan during the Lewinsky fiasco.

Obama and Puppet Biden will also be in prison for malfeasance. Those two are the most relieved that the SC ruled on the presidential immunity case.
