Former President Barack Obama expressed his confidence in President Joe Biden on Friday, one day after a disastrous debate performance spurred many Democrats to suggest that Biden should drop out of the presidential race.
“Bad debate nights happen. Trust me, I know,” began Obama. “But this election is still a choice between someone who has fought for ordinary folks his entire life and someone who only cares about himself. As for the Democratic leadership, no one is willing to make the first move and admit they have a problem. They whisper it, but no one will say it out loud. So they’re stuck with him.
