WASHINGTON (AP) — The pier built by the U.S. military to bring aid to Gaza has been removed due to weather to protect it, and the U.S. is considering not re-installing it unless the aid begins flowing out into the population again, U.S. officials said Friday. While the military has helped deliver desperately needed food through the pier, the vast majority of it is still sitting in the adjacent storage yard and that area is almost full. Aid agencies have had difficulty moving the food to areas further into Gaza where it is most needed because the humanitarian convoys have come under attack.

“Never mind”
Money well spent
Money well wasted.
All the right people made money from government contracts. That was the primary mission that got completed. Delivering aid was just the cover story.
Reminds me of Jimmy Carters hostage rescue attempt in ‘80. Don’t know why.
I hope they try to put the useless floating pier back in service because it cannot stand 3 foot waves. 3 foot waves are nothing and are considered to be poor surfing conditions. I will laugh my backside off as the pier falls apart again.
The Biden Regime has lost the Mandate of Heaven and everything they do just turns to sh1t.
Another $320 million to remove it ? $640 million could buy a lot of food but lets waste it on a pier that’s not required
One stupid idea leads to another. What’s next?
“Reminds me of Jimmy Carters hostage rescue attempt in ‘80. Don’t know why.”
I think it’s a reasonable comparison, I thought of that similarity as well. A rushed plan that comes off as impotent.
Great minds.....
What’s the point of having this pier when food aid isn’t being distributed to civilians even with it standing?
They just flushed hundreds of millions of dollars down the toilet.
It’s Top Secret so you can’t tell the A-team what you are trying to do here.
It has already served its purpose well, which is to say political performance art.
“may not put it back, officials say”
Shoot all they need to do is hire more DEI folks to install it.
By my calculations, only $340,000 to deliver a pallet of food to Gaza.
What a bargain.
