Vivek Ramaswamy's VP Prospects Spike 1100% on Prediction Market Polymarket

Following speculation that former President Donald Trump might select Republican Vivek Ramaswamy as his vice presidential candidate, Ramaswamy’s chances have significantly increased on prediction platforms like Polymarket. Over the last three days, his odds have jumped by 1,100%.

Ramaswamy Gains Momentum in VP Stakes on Prediction Markets

On Tuesday, the internet buzzed with ongoing speculation that Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump would name Vivek Ramaswamy as his running mate. One piece of the rumor mill claims that Trump announced his VP choice would be present at the upcoming debate against the current U.S. President Joe Biden. Furthermore, after Ramaswamy withdrew from the presidential contest, Trump praised him as a “smart guy.”

Trump further suggested his future involvement in the administration by stating:

He’s gonna be with us in some form.

Three days prior, Bitcoin.com News highlighted the prediction market odds for Trump’s potential vice presidential candidates. At that time, the decentralized prediction market Polymarket indicated that Ramaswamy had a mere 1% chance. Now, his odds on Polymarket have climbed to 12%, just trailing an unidentified male and J.D. Vance (R-OH). Ramaswamy now surpasses several contenders who were ahead of him three days earlier.

The Polymarket wager is now valued at more than $49 million at press time. Additionally, a rise in Ramaswamy’s rising odds is also quite noticeable on predictit.org, where his chances escalated from 2% on June 21 to the present 20%. North Dakota’s 33rd Governor, Doug Burgum, remains the frontrunner on predictit.org, while Vance’s odds have significantly declined in the past three days. On the predictit.org market, Ramaswamy now leads, with Vance holding a 15% chance.

As the buzz around Ramaswamy’s potential vice-presidential nomination continues to stir, the prediction markets are reflecting a dynamic shift. His surging odds not only underscore a growing consensus about interest in him but also hint at a strategic reshuffling within the Republican ranks. This move could significantly influence the upcoming debates and the broader electoral strategy against incumbent President Joe Biden.

Good point, on the other hand my sense is women don’t like him because of the smugness.

“based on Trump’s historic inability to pick quality staff...”

Something many people I guess choose to ignore...and its a fairly long list...many times when I’ve brought that up I get attacked.

I’ve actually heard some people say they won’t vote if Trump picks this guy.

It would make it even harder for me. Trump is already making noises about shafting Ukraine. Adding a known stock-market scammer, (never mind his family connection to a foreign country), to the ticket isn't in any way patriotic. I'll never ever vote for a Democrat, but I could "just stay home" as the saying goes. Vote down-ballot, but leave the prexy slot blank. I do have a conscience to answer to.

Heads up, people.

1) At $36T in debt, absolutely no policy issues are significant. Nothing can be done. Nothing else matters than the Swamp.

2) Only the Swamp and drainage is relevant. The Swamp is political careerists and their media lackeys. There is no point in selecting Swamp filth from the array of politicians you may have heard of if the goal is to drain that Swamp. If you have heard of someone and their political position, they are disqualified.

3) The natural born stuff is just silly. He was born within the jurisdiction of the US. His parents were NOT diplomats that would remove his birth from that jurisdiction. If you are born within the jurisdiction of the US, you are a natural born citizen. It is why children of US military personnel stationed elsewhere are natural born citizens. They are within the jurisdiction of the US. The same is true of US diplomat children born abroad, btw.

This actually became an issue in WWII. The Japanese temporarily had control of a few Aleution Islands, and some babies were born during that time. They were not within the jurisdiction of the US. After the war, special laws were passed to ensure their birthright.

So, a Mexican cartel chief’s wife comes to Houston and drops a kid. NBC, right?

For me, the natural born issue is a non sequitur. So too is the Hindu concern, age, etc.

It’s highly unlikely Vivek would be held back by the NB issue in this case. No case law to support it. Hindu? I’m not looking for a theologian in chief should he need to step up. Do his personal views comport well with Christianity? I believe they do. Does Trump need a VP that can bring in votes? VP’s have rarely mattered in elections, if ever. That will be even more the case this time around for Trump. This election will be about Trump vs. Biden. Do you think Harris will pull down the Biden ticket because of her ineptitude, even though Joe would undoubtedly not make it the next 4 years? NO. Joe is the only one voters will vote for, or against.

So, what I would like to see in a VP, is someone who has the same views as Trump, and can work, even as only a VP, to implement change. Trump could use Vivek better than any other choice to affect those changes. He’s not just smart, but extremely so. Vivek has ideas that far surpass any of the other choices, even though folks like JD Vance are very bright in their own right.

But here’s what’s most important to me. Trump will undoubtedly not be able to change it all in a mere 4 years. Therefore, who can carry that baton the rest of the way? Who would be the best leader, the best to articulate the message and actions going forward? For me, it’s Vivek.

PROVE YOUR STATEMENT.

WERE BOTH HIS PARENTS USA CITIZENS WHEN HE WAS BORN HERE????

IF the answer is: “HE WAS BORN HERE”-—then he is an anchor baby ONLY & we have millions of those.

For me, the natural born issue is one for the court of public opinion.

The time for that is during the primaries when candidates can attack each others' credentials and polling can bring out the people who won't vote for a candidate without two citizen parents or who feel that there are plenty of other choices who do have two citizen parents that we don't have to settle for someone who doesn't. Then let the chips fall where they may and see if there is enough desire for two-citizen-parents candidates that the anchor babies drop out.

That said, once we move to the general election it's too late to have that discussion anymore.

So, a Mexican cartel chief’s wife comes to Houston and drops a kid. NBC, right?

///////////////////////////////////////////////////

Since Houston does not have a border, I presume you mean she arrived by air. Flight is not permitted past a certain trimester limit.

But if she arrived in Houston, somehow, and had a child there, that child was born within the jurisdiction of the US. Natural Born Citizen. And you know what? This would be true if both parents were in the US as 3rd generation Americans, but the child gets born in jail because the parents are both felons. The child is not responsible for the parents crimes.

That child is born within US jurisdiction. Not territory. Jurisdiction, and criminal parents do not affect that. Now, there are occasions when the child is not an NBC. If the parents have diplomatic credentials, they are immune from US jurisdiction and then their child born in US territory is NOT an NBC.

Another excellent example. The current King of Thailand’s father . . . the previous King . . . his parents were in Harvard. He was born at Mass General. He was royalty. But his parents, despite being royalty, never submitted diplomatic credentials. They were subject to US jurisdiction.

And so, yup, you can see what this means. That child became King of Thailand — and he was a natural born citizen of the US. This item over the years has been covered up. During Thailand’s political upheavals it was an embarrassing reality for them to have a King who was a natural born citizen of another country.
