I thought it might have lasted until October and winter gales, but anyplace with 1,200 miles of open sea “fetch” to build waves will put any floating pier system at risk in any swells above 3 feet.

B-but they spent lots of money. Spending lots of money means that if it doesn’t work, you spend even MORE money, until it works. This is Biden’s legacy, just like the exit from Afghanistan.
