Yeah sure. Here’s the real story. The year before the attacks, large swaths across the country were in open mutiny over the judicial reform law and were participating in the protests. Entire fighter squadrons and even Mossad elements were threating to walk off the job of the reforms passed.

Any modern intelligence agency collects massive amounts of intel, most of which is irrelevant or simply false.
You almost always find, after the fact, that the intel you should have paid attention to is there buried in the chaff, but you missed it.

What date did the Intelligence claim the attack would take place? I read the entire article. I did not see the date mentioned.
The deepest penetration into Israel was 2.9 miles - the distance to the outdoor Music Festival.
Half the Israeli dead and half the hostages came from the Music Festival.
The festival had private security, which ran out of ammunition 15 minutes after the attack started. Private citizens and private security are forbidden by law from possessing more than a limited amount of ammunition.
No senior Hamas military officers ever left the safety of Gaza.
The attacks were suicide attacks, conducted in the main by amphetamine fueled Gaza teenagers.
At least 50% of the attackers were killed. Only a small number were captured alive and un-wounded.
I believe it was the IRA, after a failed attempt on Prime Minister Thatcher that said (paraphrased), “You need to be right 100% of the the time (her security detail), while we (the attackers) only need to be right once.”
