A newly surfaced document reveals that Israel Defense Forces and Israeli intelligence systems had detailed knowledge of Hamas' plan to raid Israel, including the number of hostages to be taken and specific instructions for their treatment while in captivity.
According to a Monday night report presented by Israel's public broadcaster, Kan, the document, which is based on information from military intelligence's 8200 Unit, began circulating on September 19, less than three weeks before the October 7 massacre.
The unnamed sources who provided Kan with the document, also claim its contents were brought to the attention of at least some senior intelligence officials but apparently ignored. The memo highlights the extent to which the IDF's Gaza Division was aware of a potential attack on Israel's southern border communities.
The document, titled "Detailed End-to-End Raid Training," goes into startling detail, beginning with a description of a series of exercises conducted by Hamas' elite Nukhba units in the weeks prior to its publication. "At 11 A.M., several companies were observed converging at the beginning of the training sessions, not before prayer and lunch," the memo recounts...
The raid targets described in the document, which include - IDF command and control headquarters, base synagogues, squadron headquarters, communications headquarters and soldiers' quarters - closely mirror the locations hit by Hamas forces during the early morning hours of October 7.
One of the most shocking sections of the IDF report involves instructions relating to the taking of hostages, the number of which is estimated to be between 200-250, alarmingly close to the actual 251 men, women, and children taken captive by Hamas...

Are you sure? I thought they sell flea collars for pets.
According to the official website for the Nova Music Festival...

“permitted to occur”
Prove it.
This article and many others suggest the Israelis had lots of information about a coming attack.
Did they then CHOOSE, as in PERMITTED, the attack for some ulterior motive? Where’s the proof if that?
It seems a rather horrid mistake to ignore the many warning signs. But you impute permission.
Not demonstrated.
“brought to the attention of at least some senior intelligence officials but apparently ignored.”
“Ignored.”
Not “permitted”.
You stand baseless.
They were trying to re-enact that scene near the end of the “Flash” movie.
The fact is:
You are echoing Bill Ayers. How telling that you demand the impossible.
Btw, the paradigm "loose lips sink ships" is rather apropos here...
If you don't like being compared to the left, then don't act like it.
Step away from the hookah.
I have no idea what you mean.
In addition to never being able to prove your assertion that Israel “permitted” October 7th, you seem entirely mentally unhinged.
I recommend you try strong doses of lithium to see if that helps connect you to logical thought and a more calm demeanor.
Good luck over there.
Maybe this newspaper has fallen upon a flat earth.
Well yes, through the khazarians. Ukraine is very important to them as well.
It’s the same story through history and a lot of people don’t like to hear it because it’s ‘scary’. Unless they are Christian, it can shatter world views and most people can’t handle that.
I’m not the one encumbered with denial and lashing out at others, obsessively logging in every day seeking the next trigger, the next victim.
Textbook.
Aside from never having a fact to back up an assertion, you seem to be plain nuts.
Sadly, FR has no “Ignore” button.
But I’ll try.
Projection.
Classic.
Textbook.
We shall see if you can temper that obsession, that little leftist voice...
I know it, you ate calling me a Kazarian , and not Jewish. The same Antisemtic nonsence spewed by some others here.
I’m not calling you anything. You can identify how you like. Facts are facts. The certain families who run it all are of a certain lineage.
Can’t we say the same thing about Pearl Harbor? Weren’t early reports of Japanese planes filed in someone’s in-basket and not acted upon in a timely manner or just walked from department to department as the “system” back in 1941?

“If we had believed the intel we had in hand in 1941, there would
Have been no Pearl Harbor!”
IMHO, it's a slippery slope to say that "they knew" and ignored the intelligence, and are therefore culpable.
We could say the same thing about 9/11 and the "Gorelick Wall" of separation of American intelligence agencies that were prevented from sharing information in order to protect Bill Clinton's campaign finance abuses.
It's not enough to say that they had the information, especially in a world of disinformation or propaganda campaigns. People may not realize that propaganda is not just about getting people to believe the "best intentions" of policies that are actually bad for them, but it's also used to divert focus from true intelligence by confusing people about what is true and what is noise (e.g., the allied countries in WWII making Germany think that Calais was the point of invasion). Propaganda can be a game of getting people to think they're the "boy who cried wolf" by making them become hesitant to act on intelligence after getting burned by bad or faked or planted intel.
So is it possible that Israeli prior intelligence on the Hamas attacks was not believed because it was so heinous that the mind couldn't grasp the reality of it? Was it not believed because it was surrounded by noise of other rumors or planted intel? Was it not believed because it was just the latest in a stream of intel about attacks that never materialized?
It's a knee-jerk reaction by opposition factions to jump to the conclusion that Israeli intelligence knew about it and either failed to act or let it happen.

Really, you still put credence in any “news” source?
My daughter came home from Portland State U with the news that Japan actually surrendered after Hiroshima, and we didn’t need to do Nagasaki. She was devastated to hear of it. As with this total BS. (Or not. We’ll never know, and it won’t matter in the end. All will be sent to their just reward.)
