That's been my observation, too. You'd find Protestant children in Catholic schools, especially in the cities. Then, Catholic schools started shutting down.

Then, the homeschool movement grew, mostly in Protestant churches. Now, you'll find Catholic families in Protestant homeschool groups.

The government schools have ceased catastrophically to be Protestant. Accordingly, Christians of any stripe who take it seriously find them unsuitable for educating their children. Better to hang out with the “wrong” sort of Christians, than with pagan perverts.
