A cafe owner on the Lower East Side was mocked by two grinning vandals as he confronted them on video for shamelessly tagging his costly dining shed earlier this month.
“Are you serious, man?” Kaiser Richter asked one of the men as he came upon him finishing some graffiti on the dining shed outside Flowers Cafe on Essex Street.
“Nobody’s here,” a second tagger shrugged as Richter approached, according to an Instagram video of the incident shared on June 11.
The first tagger did not reply to Richter’s questions but grinned as he walked away from his finished work, which marred the orange interior of the small dining structure.

In the (good old) days, they wouldn’t have even tried it.
They’d be too worried about hearing sirens, or hearing click click boom, or both.
Today, there is no criminal justice. Just a revolving door at best. But if you defend your property, YOU on the other hand WILL be prosecuted.
And everyone knows it.

Respecting the right of private property is essential to a just and prosperous society. But government at all levels—local, state and federal—routinely infringe on these rights.
America needs to lose its &*&* in a Thermidorian Reaction to our woke-marxist revolution.
Those guys didn’t appear to be the least bit concerned about the video being sent to the cops. And for good reason. Even violent crimes are rarely if ever prosecuted in Dem-run hellholes. Vandalism is ignored completely.
Of course if this owner kicked the vandals’ asses, HE would’ve been prosecuted.
No respect for law or desire to be civil. A law enforcement culture that won’t care to catch and punish criminals. A city that will burden you with compliance demands and tax you excessively.
I hope this guy can find a better place to make a living.
I hope the graffiti ‘artist’ gets all of his teeth knocked out and needs a cane from the shattered knee.
I would love to see a graffiti “artist” go to jail for five years.

I really think that neighborhood protection rackets need to make a comeback.
It would be cheaper to pay the Mafia protection fees.
Perhaps we should spray paint that on rail cars, random buildings and overpasses! 😊
I have to admit, I have to at least admire their determination to get into some of those places, I don’t know how they do it.
Too bad they can’t have that same ambition to actually be productive citizens.
LES is pretty grimey territory, even by NYC standards.
That's in the near future I'm sure. Had that owner had Mafia protection, those two would have gone for a swim in cement shoes.
