Artificial intelligence will result in adults earning a basic income, billionaire Elon Musk said.
AI could lead to a world of self-driving vehicles and other computers and machines that replace humans in work settings and perform virtually all physical and mental labor, Business Insider reported.
When that happens, Musk said adults, regardless of their wealth or employment status, will receive a universal basic income.

I think that AI will bring us stupidity at the speed of light.

It is mostly a bunch of happy utopia talk; it won't work.
But let's suppose AI really does make everyone an idle billionaire. Then what?
I expect we will all really start going after people who annoy us - suing their machines if not outright shooting them.

No one will work. Gangs of bored people will be up all night roving around making tons of noise. Every neighborhood will be party central cause no one will have to get up early.
Unlike the Fed that creates fake money without value and debases currency, AI machines will create useful goods and work that create value and will share that abundance with humans. This is a sci-fi scenario that has been written about for almost a century. It is the creation of work that helps human civilization. The Fed does not help us, and enriches a select few in power.

we would be much better off with one agency.
It promotes equality as regardless of class, race etc....everyone is treated equally under the law.

The day I take “universal income” - just as a farm animal who lines up and takes its feed - is the day I will have already been disarmed and castrated. Not a chance.
I think he is wrong, too. Of course, I’m very worried about woke programmers creating AI, with woke rules replacing scientific facts. Plus Skynet.

Already happening. A news segment today talking about gangs of hundreds of bored people taking over the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge last night at 2:00 a.m. doing illegal sideshow donuts with cars and setting off fireworks. Obvious these people don’t worry about work or going to jail.
