There is a big difference between someone who was a democrat politician from 2002 to 2021 and someone voting for while registered as a democrat in 4 elections because they were disgusted with Republican choices.

I personally do not want to see her as prez or VP. However compared to Biden or Harris she is a true angel.

There is TOLERANCE of all religions here in the US. That is good.
But RELIGIOUS NIHILISM is believing that: No matter which religion you are, everything is A-OK. Everything is the same. Everything is fine with all religions. We do well with leaders no matter what religion they are. WHICH IS FALSE and dangerous to believe.
Therefore, anyone can practice any religion he wants in the US, if he does so privately and quietly.
But it is reckless and foolish to elect public officials, including VPOTUSes, who believe in principles which directly contradict the Declaration, Constitution, Federal Laws, State Laws, etc.
Many Americans think, by electing non-Christians or non-Jews to office, that they are being hip, cosmopolitan, tolerant, and very cool. Instead, they are being idiots.
We had this situation with Obama, who believes in the Moose Limb religion, which calls for the killing of Jews and Christians and lots of hate for all non Moose Limbs.
We also have this situation with Rat POTUSES such as Biden, who believe in satan and all his lies and evil works.
We do well when we elect Christian POTUSES, who FEAR the Almighty. Trump is such a person.
Tulsi was sworn in to her Congressional seat not with a Bible, but with a Bhagavad Gita, the Hindu text.
So definitely she does not belong anywhere near public office in my opinion, because what she believes is contrary to the founding principles of the US.

The Democrat party had a very different platform when Reagan was a dem.

Reagan wrote as a supporter of the conservative Republican Senator Barry Goldwater. Reagan had spent much of his political career campaigning and voting for Democrats, but throughout the 1950s his increasingly conservative views turned him toward the Republican Party. Like one other poster said, people change. It's what brought Dana over to the right side, finally seeing what the left was up to. The same happened to Tulsi.
Now that I think about it, another one is Leo Terrell. He's now firmly in the Trump camp. He used to be a rabid leftist.

Exactly. Reagan evolved. Politicians do evolve. Gabbard has seen where the Democrat party is going and appears to want little to do with it. I believe we are going to see more of this in the Democrat party over the next several years. The left wing has led the party off the cliff in a big way. The “useful idiots” used up their usefulness.

They told her all she had to do was go along. They told her if she didn’t, she would be out of politics. She would be blacklisted. She wouldn’t get the fancy house in DC. She wouldn’t get the millions in stock trading via insider info that they all get.

It was like that. And she said no. She said she would rather live in her small house and find some honest job than throw away her morals for illicit power and wealth.

Freegards but there is a lot of difference between the timeline of Gabbard & that of Reagan.
There is no track record on Gabbard’s change of heart, just words. Many of her far left positions are still current, very strong DACA, green energy “Reaching 100 percent renewable energy as quickly as possible is required to save our planet from the worst effects of climate change.”
Talk is cheap especially when her political life as a leftist has crashed & burned. Pretty package but I trust her as far as I ca throw her.
