There has been a great deal of (seemingly warranted) scrutiny directed at Texas Children's Hospital since reports emerged two weeks ago of the Department of Justice going after whistleblower Dr. Ethan Haim, a resident at Baylor College of Medicine, on charges of improperly accessing and disclosing patient information in violation of HIPAA.
In 2023, Haim told journalist Christopher Rufo that the hospital was continuing to perform "gender-affirming" surgeries on minors — a practice that was outlawed by Texas Lawmakers in September 2023.
The uproar over Haim's targeting was followed by reports of a visit from FBI agents to a nurse from the hospital who claimed that doctors in the hospital's child sex-change program had committed Medicaid fraud.

On Thursday afternoon, Rufo shared to his X account reports that the hospital has temporarily closed its pediatric sex-change clinic.

This follows reports that the office of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is opening an investigation into the allegations of Medicaid Fraud. Additionally, Texas State Representative Brian Harrison (R) has called for the Texas House to hold hearings and investigate federal officials and hospital leadership over the matter.

Now, according to Rufo, the hospital appears to be "in a full-blown panic."

State Rep. Brian Harrison (R-Midlothian) has called for House Speaker Dade Phelan to hold an emergency interim hearing in response “to recent allegations of lawfare by Biden’s Department of Justice against whistleblowers exposing illegal and abusive sex-change procedures on Texas children and possible Medicaid fraud by Texas Children’s Hospital.”
“The Texas House must not sit idly by as the lawless Biden Administration potentially aids and abets CHILD ABUSE and MEDICAID FRAUD at Texas Children’s Hospital by prosecuting whistleblowers,” Harrison said. “I am formally asking Speaker Phelan to order an emergency interim hearing and launch an investigation – with subpoenas – into federal officials and hospital leadership. Texas must lead the nation in the defense of the next generation and state sovereignty by combatting the move to a post-constitutional America with every tool available to us. Inaction is complicity.”
Transgender this, transgender that, every day more and more of this transgender talk. To me it’s disgusting and vile and I have to wonder what’s the endgame here, why is there so much chatter, so many who feel it’s the right thing to mutilate a child, A CHILD!!! For what purpose and end? Anyone?

It's not a violation of HIPAA if no one can identify the patient(s) with the information given. A doctor can describe in great detail every procedure and/or treatment administered to a patient as long as any identifying information is removed. Case studies doing just this are published in medical journals all the time.
There’s no reason Josh Tetens, McLennan County DA (Waco TX) cant pull a Fani Willis and drag all of the “federal officials” into a Waco courtroom and tie them up in expensive legal limbo for years.
Them’s the new rules. It’s time for our side to play by them.

Given their history of being dishonest and integrity free they have most likely have renamed it and hidden it in some obscure location on their campus. he fact that they are ruining childrens’ lives and destroying families doesn’t matter to these ghoul administrators and doctors...ands support staff.
The federal officials that helped with the hiding of the continued sex change stuff may have been communicating with other federal officials way high up the food chain (my conjecture). What kind of federal office would this be under?
