Should have stayed and taken the 60-day WARN.
They ought to just be glad they’re out of California.
Mr. Fong trusted a leftist. Big mistake.
This is goofy, just goofy
“Mr. Fong trusted a leftist. Big mistake.”
Mr, Fong was affectionately nicknamed “Flounder” by Disney senior management.
The person making the representation has to know at the time of making it that it’s not true, or it’s not fraud. That the company later changed its mind is not actionable. Fails to state a cause of action. I’d say this is just a ploy to leverage some money out of the company.
Disney. It use to be a name worthy of attention. Now it is the sign of something to avoid.
I have watched Disney news channels for years on you tube channels like valiant renegade or clownfish, midnights edge, legal mindset. Disney actually pressed hard on its California employes to make this decision and the evidence is there reported by the YouTube channels that fallow and report on Disney at the time it happened. While not conservative outlets if you are interested in fallowing anything about Disney and the woke crap, they do these YouTube channels are the best for it.
Can’t pull one over on you….. 😅😅😅😅

About what you would expect from such a Mickey Mouse operation.
I’ve no doubt they pressed them hard, but in law that doesn’t prevent them from changing their minds. Just because one is an a-hole doesn’t necessarily mean one is legally liable
Definitely a Mickey Mouse thing to do to them.
Ya beat me to it!
it really does depend on what was said by corporate higher ups...hard to prove. Anything can be turned into a lawsuit. if there are any promises or threat in writing directed at employees it will come down to interpretation of laws...this is why anyone in any position of authority in corporations need to be careful. any lawyers here who wants to educate us the unanointed when it comes to employe and corporate law.
Remember what I said. It has to be false at the outset. No apologist for Disney here, but with what little I know, I’ll bet it’s true that they really intend to make the development, but then made a business decision not to
At least one of them moved back to CA.
If he inherited the home I presume it was completely or nearly completely paid off. Should have kept it especially with the low property tax basis. Rented it out maybe.
