Top Russian General Apti Alaudinov, commander of Akhmat special forces unit and a supporter of President Vladimir Putin, claims the war with Ukraine will be over by the end of the year.

Alaudinov, who leads the Chechen forces in the conflict, was appointed by Putin in April as deputy head of the Defense Ministry's military-political department.

During a state TV broadcast with Olga Skabeyeva, Alaudinov discussed the current state of military affairs and his projection for the end of the 2-plus-year-long war that started with Putin's February 24, 2022, invasion of Ukraine.

Posted for whatever it may be worth. However, the scary part is that if the Russians do what they say they're going to do, then Biden, or, possibly, Trump is going to have a very large and scary decision to make. I don't think going to war on the Russian doorstep is a very good idea.

It would be Biden since he would still be president until January 20, 2025 even if Trump wins a semi-honest election.

Stationing fighter jets in NATO countries to conduct attacks on Russian cities is an act of war.

Trump is going to win in November, so they are going to turn the table over by starting a nuclear war.

Who's proposing that? Only you, so far.

So this was a statement for domestic consumption. Since 2012 Putin has been using "NATO threat" propaganda on his own people to distract from the egregious suppression of freedoms in Russia. This is more of the same. Straight from the centuries-old Russian Autocrat's Handbook.

Russia must think they are about ready to move in with that 300k force they were calling up a while back. That with the Nork ammunition will bring on interesting times.
