It’s a Two-Fer! It can kill sea creatures AND birds at the same time!

Madness. But I’m sure Mother Government will pour untold BILLIONS of Taxpayer Dollars into yet another Global Warming boondoggle.

*SPIT*

This is madness. The grid should be dependent on nothing but hydrocarbons, nuclear, and hydropower.

They want to float a 500 foot high tower, with a 500 ton turbine perched on top, with 300 foot blades to catch the wind, and expect it to survive high seas and gale winds of a nor’easter. okey-dokey.

How about letting the planet warm up and then charge an outsider summer residency fee of say $20,000 per summer so there need be no state or local taxation in the state?

The Gulf Stream is more reliable and tapping it would be far cheaper.

Wonder what will happen during a typical Nor’easter winter storm.

“Jobs are frequently mentioned, but they are part of the cost.”

That’s what they use to sell it to the useful idiots - the thousands of job it creates, not realizing that these jobs are worse than “make work” jobs since they end up producing nothing of value, and more likely future garbage.

I live in Maine. We are governed by Democrat Fools. Taxes always go up, not down. And liberals should be barred from moving here or, for those who are here, from reproducing. Maine workers used to enjoy a reputation for being good, hard working, focused people. Now, a good Maine worker is hard to find. Bidenomics prevails, to our detriment.

The cost of floating wind is necessarily much greater than fixed wind. A fixed wind tower sits on a simple monopile, while a floating tower sits on a huge complex structure called a floater. We are talking about massive 500-foot towers with 500-ton turbines on top and 300-foot blades catching the wind.

All well and good till the first big storm. When the ocean wants it the ocean will take it.

The insiders will make millions in setting up committees and studies and design before the building even begins.
