Rev Francis Bellamy The Pledge of Allegiance was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy (1855-1931), a Baptist minister, a Christian socialist and the cousin of socialist utopian novelist Edward Bellamy (1850-1898). Bellamy's original "Pledge of Allegiance" was published in the September 8th issue of the popular children's magazine The Youth’s Companion as part of the National Public-School Celebration of Columbus Day, a celebration of the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ discovery of America, conceived by James B Upham. Bellamy's original Pledge read, "I Pledge Allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation indivisible with liberty and justice for all." The new owner is kinda weird. He’s an old friend of Hubby’s and I was never very fond of him. I pretty much steer clear of him.

So cool that the kids got to visit the cockpit! That was a long flight and that visit probably helped them get through it. And when they get back home, they’ll have a great story to tell their friends.

“Take me to the Brig. I want to see the real Marines.” Lt General Chesty Puller

Check the comments below the video:
“Chesty gave one of my favorite quotes of all time for any fighting man:
“All right, they’re on our left, they’re on our right, they’re in front of us, they’re behind us ... they can’t get away this time.”
“If the Marines don’t have anyone to fight, they will fight each other.”
“My brother was drafted into the army but was rejected because of his police record. Well, the marines took him and off to sniper training. Then Vietnam.”
“My father served under Chesty Puller and had the utmost respect for him. My dad said he would cut up a celebratory cake with his saber. Semper Fi.”

From the comments below the video:
“Chesty was much beloved and respected by Marines because he did the one thing that most commanders don’t do. He treated them like men.”
“One of my best friends, Hop Birdsong, fought with Chesty in the 1st Marines Division at Guadalcanal. He said he was one of the first Marines to hit the beach and was proud to talk about it. Thank you.”
“Where we’ll meet them and conquer them? Where we’ll meet them and be victorious? Where we’ll meet them and overcome? Nope. “Where we’ll meet them and kill them all.” Go, Chesty!”
“The greatest generation to ever walk this earth Semper FI”
