On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Situation Room,” Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) responded to a question on whether the Gaza aid pier constructed by the Biden administration has failed due to numerous setbacks combined with the small amount of aid that has come in by stating that “I don’t think people understand just how complicated this is.” And “it’s just more complicated than we would have liked.”
Host Wolf Blitzer asked, “I want to get, first, to this story we’ve just been reporting, this U.S. pier off the coast of Gaza has suffered setback after setback and has only delivered a tiny fraction of aid to the Palestinians. Is it time to call this a failed mission?”
Slotkin responded, “I don’t think people understand just how complicated this is. It sounds simple when you say it, but obviously, you heard that it’s just more complicated than we would have liked. I don’t know if it’s — if we’re ready to give it up. I’m going to leave that to the military. But we need more humanitarian aid to be getting into Gaza, and the pier was already a stopgap measure to try and get additional aid in since overland routes weren’t being used the way that I would like them to be used. So, we’ve got to figure out a way to get that aid in. The pier — if it’s not the pier, we just — we need more overland to get things into Gaza.”

The pier project was conceived by the W.H. to help secure vital votes in Michigan. Because the President announced the project during the State of the Union Address, the military was obliged to attempt to carry out his orders.
I have absolutely no expertise in the area of building piers, but both the Army and Navy do. The Army pier system, and it is a complex system, was designed to deliver goods into existing harbors damaged/destroyed by natural or war events. It was not designed for the conditions off the Gaza coast exposed to both wind and waves.
No doubt the Army and Navy were aware of this, but they can’t say no to POTUS, especially when POTUS has told the entire world that they would do this.
The political stunt cost hundreds of millions of dollars and ended up an embarrassing failure. But comrades, it is vitally important that Brandon and his administration not be blamed for the failure. We are not smart enough to realize how complicated the attempt to win muslim votes in Michigan was.
For $342 million you should be able to do “complicated”.
try $320 million bullseye, the actual estimated cost ...
Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI)
Another CIA congressfool.
Gets more publicity because Israel is involved, but the US does this on a smaller scale all over Africa.
Yeah, money laundering is complicated. You got cutouts, cooked books, people to pay off, journalists for the smoke screen, and phony bank accounts to maintain. Stuff so complicated it takes a lawyer to manage it. Oh, you got lawyers, too.
It ain’t complicated at all. The commie trash tried to pull off a virtue signal with taxpayer $$ and the real world intervened.
Y’all are dealing with losers (like yourselves) who backed a pack of rabid dogs.
Ka-ching!
The good news is it only took the U.S. military ten days to fail with the Gaza Pier project instead of 20 years to fail in Afghanistan.
By the way, pi r NOT square. Pie are round.
Math story problem:
If it takes 1,000 U.S. Army soldiers to build a pier at Gaza for $200 million that only survives ten days before failing, how many two and a half ton army trucks will it take to evacuate all soldiers if half of the total of soldiers are transgender and you can pile only 37 transgender soldiers horizontally in the back of each truck but you can seat 48 straight soldiers in bench seats in the back of each truck?
Over time, marrying your cousins and following islam will do that to you.
Thats a whole lotta kick back.
When it failed all those Democrat operatives bribed by contractors just walked away, back to the DNC.
