I'm a voter who sees no purpose for Democrat Senators but alas, here we are, practically overrun with them and with insufficient support to ban them from the public.

Senator Ricketts didn’t “block” a ban on bump stocks. He objected to passing the legislation by “unanimous consent” because he wanted all Senators on the record as voting for or against the measure that did much more than just ban bump stocks, but banned anything that “materially increased the firing rate of a semiautomatic weapon.”
This bill would have banned any aftermarket trigger that was lighter or smoother than a factory trigger. It has been argued that it might even ban other aftermarket parts such as lighter recoil springs if they increased the cycle rate of the semiautomatic weapon in any way.
It was a very bad bill.
Fake news! Trump endorsed this as president for the good of the American people. Just like lockdowns, big pharma blank checks and unblinding the justice system.
Not supporting these things is never trumpism.

Basically the bill was a cheap ploy to smear conservatives as being in favor of mass murder, of which we will no doubt hear a chorus from the media in the coming days. I don’t think anyone really cares.
