Iโm supposed to know this stuff. Retired and lose my skills. ๐
Awesome score!
Well, darn. Didn’t mean to give you a headache from thinking too hard. LOL!
Well, the key word is “retired”. And that’s a very good thing!
Good point. Thanks for steering me right.
Howdy, Kathy.
It wasn’t a very pretty start to the day up there but it’s turned out quite nice this afternoon/evening. A good opportunity for supper on the deck, hanging out with the ducks for a few minutes. :-)
That was a tough quiz. But it was fun.
My headache is more from frustration than anything. I got most of today’s mowing done and dang it, Champ broke. Now I have to figure out how to get the mower to a repairman. I have a small trailer but it’s a few inches too narrow for Champ. Maybe Hubby’s cousin has a trailer that will work.
Oh, nooooo. You BROKE Champ? What did you run over? I’m so sorry. I know you must be so frustrated, and that yard is going to be wild before you can get back to it.
I didn’t hit anything today but did hit a large-ish rock several weeks ago. Don’t know where it came from because I’d mowed the same spot a few times already this year with no problems. Obviously knocked something a little out of whack because there’s been some vibration. I found the broken piece in the grass and it looks like a bracket broke. When I was blowing the grass off the mower, I noticed the belt that turns the blades is floppy so the bracket is involved in that.
Maybe Hubby’s cousin will let me borrow his mower to finish the last little stretch by the driveway. The yards can wait. If push comes to shove, Charlie or Bobby can get the yards with the tractor and big mower if it takes too long to get Champ back.
You’ll miss being able to get out there on Champ, but thank goodness for the Guardian Angels!
Weeeeeeell, I can’t exactly say I’ll miss getting out there on Champ. LOL But it doesn’t take much for the grass to get away from me with this dratted healthy soil. The spot where this house was built was farmed for 100 years and that’s a lot of fertilizer spread over that time. Same with the grass along the driveway. Only a few feet between the driveway and the edges of the fields on either side and fertilizer overspray has made that soil healthy. One good rainfall and the grass takes off. Champ’s a great mower but it can only do so much. It isn’t a bush hog. LOL

Check the comments below the video:
“This hero had 6 inches of arm bone wrecked, and he still insisted on going back to fight in just a couple of weeks. Now that’s Tough! Thank you for your service!”
“What a MAN. He remembers names, dates, places from 80 years ago and I have trouble remembering what I had for breakfast! Men like Mr. Rice were the true heroes of our nation. He and others like him, won the peace that we enjoyed for so long. God bless you sir and thank you for your story, from an 83 year old USAF retired MSGT.”
Well, yeah, he does play havoc on the back, but still....it is a good excuse for going outside. Should you need an excuse. LOL!
Thanks for the link. Just re-watched Band Of Brothers. Still the best combat show ever made, IMHO
There are plenty of reasons to get outside for a bit and they don’t make my back ache.
Or cover me with grass. I came in, fed the cats, fed myself, and now it’s time for a shower. I was too hungry to shower before eating supper. LOL
7/15
Well, there is the grass covering. LOL!
Was it hot again today? Or was it this morning that you told me it was actually cooler. I’ve slept since then. :)
Good score! It wasn’t an easy test!
I was able to rule out a few options on each pattern, then I guessed...
I guessed too.....wrong on nearly all of ‘em. LOL!
