Say what you will about us on the Right, but we are willing to call out or own when they start embarrassing themselves or misrepresenting the rest of us. We keep blowhards like Majorie Taylor-Greene at arm's length. We've long since tired of hearing Hannity turn every other conversation into a banal trumpeting of his martial arts skills. The door hit George Santos on the way out.
But aside from a few noble voices, the Left refuses to do any such thing within its own camp.
My gut feeling is that your traditional liberal (the sophomoric yard signs and the Tesla, yes, but also the secure corporate job in the quiet, bourgeois neighborhood) feels uneasy with the crazed mobs spilling into the streets every time they don't get their way. That sort of thing used to happen five neighborhoods away. Then four neighborhoods away. Then three neighborhoods away.
And that sort of unhinged rioting used to happen once in a generation. Then once every few years. Then once every few weeks.
Yet the suburban traditional liberal continues to vote Democrat because of abortion. Or some nonsense about the rich paying their "fair share." Or climate change. Or any number of manufactured grievances designed not so much to solve a tangible problem than to make a certain class of educated voters feel righteous about themselves.

All I expect is law-abiding people representing us. Fidelity is not necessarily a trait that makes for a great leader.
Jimmy Carter comes to mind, Outstanding human being if fidelity is the measure used, but not a good leader. The fact that he is a Democrat and still supports the Democrat Party who are willing to kill a baby even after birth, may not even be acceptable by the Lord's measure.
The author (C. A. Skeet) sounds like an establishment prick.
He’s embarrassed by Marjorie Taylor Greene and probably doesn’t like Matt Gaetz and Lauren Boebert either. People like Skeet would much rather prefer a milquetoast moderate Republican over a conservative fighter.
C.A. Skeet might as well be Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved or Jonah Goldberg. A person who identifies as “conservative” when it’s convenient but is in actuality a squishy moderate who hates conservatives more than Democrats.
Which is one of the reasons they win. They protect their own. We do not. That isn't a point in our favor.
Santos was a liar. So what? All politicians are liars. It is a requirement to get elected. Nothing that he lied about had any bearing on his fitness for office. He voted right, and that is all that mattered. But he is gone, because "he lied about his background". Aren't we so much more virtuous because of that? Actually, no we are not. We are down one more Republican vote in the House of Representatives.
The Democrats effectively control the House even though they are nominally a minority. Interesting how that works.
The only thing we have going for us is that when the Leftist Democrats run out of convenient Republicans to attack, they start in on each other. That is what will give us an opening to displace them.
Best line in the article:
“The monster that you constructed, animated, fed, riled up, and let roam free to dispatch your political enemies is now peering through your bay window, staring at you with a ravenous look in its eyes that evinces neither “solidary” nor “inclusion” with you.”
That very thing has actually happened to Nancy and Paul Pelosi and Goldie Hawn.
I would like to believe that is true. But it isn't and they aren't.
The best I can hope for is that leaders can pay attention to criticism and improve their behavior accordingly. Or they can be replaced by more suitable leaders.
Neither of those hopes appear to be realized in the current system.
Hey, me too!
“(C. A. Skeet”
See A Skeet?
As in skeet shooting?
That’s gotta be a made up name..
Yes, I figured that out all by myself!
*evil grin*
Marjorie aint perfect but i’d take her over 85% of the worthless corrupt Republicans.
I think you may have spelled, “Sod Off, Swampy” incorrectly...
Understood, but the standards should not be lowered because the people and their leaders do not live up to them.
And every Democrat politician who got mugged, burgled, or carjacked last year.

I am too. All best sellers, but you would never believe that by what I write here. 🤣
Not me, I embrace her. She’s a fighter, something that is sorely lacking in the Republican Party.

AMEN! I send her donations on a regular basis. Also support Kari Lake. I dislike women who do nothing but sit around trying to look cute!
Hagman, Luna and even Mace ( she definitely gets Trump now) are firebrands as well.
Complete garbage, PJ Media does not speak for me.
The Dems have no shame. The only thing they care about is staying in power.

Nor is anyone else perfect that I’ve ever known. And I couldn’t care less about anything politicians do in their private lives. My only concern is their position on policies and programs that beneficially affect the welfare of America and its citizens. Everything else is simply fodder for the junk tabloid readers.
When I was in my 20s it puzzled me when our boss from the south would say that about people (often his other subordinates), but I understand it now. I doubt he ever said it about me but you never know.
“The moral standard is HIGHER for people in leadership. They should be exemplary people at all times, above reproach.”
Tell that to King David. You know, all have sinned and fall short. It’s repentance, not purity, that should be the moral standard.
