The current visit to Cuba and the Caribbean by a contingent of Russian naval war vessels and submarines indicates Russia’s growing displeasure with the U.S. military policy and support for Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin suggested this week that Moscow could take asymmetrical steps if Western countries were to supply Ukraine with weapons that were then used on Russian soil.
In addition, these types of trips show support and solidarity for friendly countries and familiarize the crews with the ports and Caribbean waters. The Russians have been conducting these types of trips periodically.
For a second consecutive year, prominent Russian military and security leaders visited Cuba meeting with General Raul Castro and other Cuban officials. Included in the Russian delegation are Putin’s close ally Nikolai Patrushev, the head of the Kremlin strategic forces, and high intelligent officials. Before leaving for Nicaragua and Venezuela an article in Pravda discussing Patrushev’s visit emphasized that Havana discussed defense aspects with its Russian visitors.
“Armed with Russian missiles Cuba will be a symmetrical response to NATO’s expansion to the Russian threshold.”
Russian leader Vladimir Putin reaffirmed his military support to the Cuban regime through a series of agreements in June, during Cuba’s Prime Minister Manuel Marrero’s visit to Moscow.

I agree why would Russia put two very valuable assists only minuets from US Airforce and Navy bases if they were looking to start something.

We pushed for NATO expansion in Georgia, we then backed down when Russia was invited in by the Georgian president to quell a rebellion. We then turned our attention to Ukraine for NATO expansion, which I think was the real desired prize as it was rich in mineral wealth, as Lindsey Graham so boldly stated.
We fomented another rebellion by the people there when President Viktor Yanukovych chose to reject the EU trade deal after he was told by the EU that they would rescind their trade agreement offer if he accepted the Russian trade agreement also, which was what Yanukovych had indeed intended to do, as it provided the best option for Ukrainians economically, as competition provides the best environment for Ukrainian consumers.
Having that as the motivation to rile up the masses, they then went in for the coup d'état that forced President Viktor Yanukovych to flee for his life. Then they worked to install the perfect patsy who would do their bidding to eventually host their proxy war with Russia. The host country would be decimated by the more powerful Russia "aggressor".
Since enough history, as the USSR, it would be an easy sell to get a majority of Americans onboard to support Ukraine. In addition that ground work had already ben laid that Putin had designs to reconstitute the USSR, ad to recapture former USSR satellite nations that had broken away when the USSR collapsed financially. They then provided the scare to get EU on board by calcimining that Putin had designs to then proceed o westward to capture all of Europe.
It should be an easy win they had perceived. For Russia was a weakened superpower. So, all we had to do was cripple Russia financial by isolating them from being able to trade with anyone. Perhaps China had even agreed to not trade with Russia. After all, they had this wonderful arrangement with China. So ,it should be an easy win for Ukraine if we just supplied them with the war material they need to attrite the Russian threat, as we weakened Russia financially.
After all, they had pulled off the coup d'état of America with the 2020 election. It was smooth sailing from here.
America would be weakened, and with enough health scare pandemics, the people would be clamoring for a return to normalcy. That would create the perfect environment to usher in the One World Government wet dream they coveted as the solution to all problems, and for consolidation of absolute power. China has probably assured Joe Biden that they would agree to a One World Government. I mean why not, it takes out China's biggest impediment for its desire for world domination. After all, these elites seeking absolute power were in reality weaklings and not the threat to China that the U.S. was.
It was the perfect plan they all gloated. Only now they are in panic mode, as Donald John Trump has not only returned to the ring they believed they had taken out and destroyed the MAGA movement with his takeout. Because his return has not only proven that MAGA has not been destroyed, but that in fact it has increased significantly to their utter dismay & amazement.
China is deeply concerned as well, but hey they still have Dominion machines to help in the cause, only this time it will be heavily watched & fully documented t bring to the Supreme Court where even Justice Roberts will have to allow its involvement that they had refuse last time.
No, its far deeper than just the Democrat Party, unfortunately.

That may be exactly what is being placed in Cuba, a submarine with one or more nuclear weapons, and they still maintain complete control of the weapon(s).
The biggest threat to the US is Americans. Always have been. The danger to America comes from Washington, not Moscow.
