‘They Know That They’re Losing’: Anna Paulina Luna Claims Lawmakers ‘Hearing’ Biden Won’t Be Dem Nominee
Daily Caller ^ | June 14, 2024 | HAILEY GOMEZ - GENERAL ASSIGNMENT REPORTER

Posted on 06/14/2024 6:15:52 AM PDT by Red Badger

Republican Florida Rep. Anna Paulina Luna claimed Thursday on Fox News Capitol Hill lawmakers are “hearing” President Joe Biden won’t be the Democratic nominee come this November.

Luna appeared on “Jesse Watters Primetime” to discuss the recent meeting GOP lawmakers had with former President Donald Trump on Thursday morning. Fox host Jesse Watters asked Luna about the policies discussed in the closed door meeting, to which Luna revealed some of Trump’s ideas on foreign affairs.

“I think the number one issue that he has is, especially a concern for what’s happening right now with Russia, obviously.” Luna said. “There’s the media really silencing what’s happening with Russia — warships off the coast of Cuba and also Florida. But I think more importantly too he made it sure that the American people would know that what is currently happening in Ukraine and Israel would have never happened under him and he does have a plan and solution moving forward.”

“I also want to point out that he understands that world leaders respect him and right now with currently what’s coming out of the White House that, you know, a lot of people realize that Joe Biden is likely not going to be the nominee,” she continued. “Which is from what we’re hearing on Capitol Hill, Representative [Kevin] Kiley had reported that Kamala Harris [is] actually eyeing a run for California governor because of it.”

“Right, that’s the backup plan. So you are hearing also in D.C. that Joe Biden isn’t going to be the Democrat nominee?” Watters asked.

“Correct,” Luna responded. “It appears that our colleagues are trying to put guardrails on a 2024 presidential election with President Trump and also what you are seeing is according to our pulling, you know as well as I do that they have been trying to really paint Republicans as anti-woman and they’re trying to push an abortion crisis right now with the election and I don’t think that’s a case. A lot of the American people know that really this is a state rights decision and so I think that they know that they’re losing. It’s very evident at this point.”

Reports have circulated that top Democratic Party members are allegedly panicking over the chance that Biden may lose the 2024 election against Trump, according to Politico. Recent polling shows Trump has not only been leading against Biden in major key swing states, but is also polling well among key Democratic voting blocs. For example, in a recent New York Times/Siena College poll, Trump has narrowed his deficit against Biden, winning 20% of black voters despite Biden having won the voting bloc by over 60% in 2020.

“Harris is #2 because their politics will not allow any other choice.”

It is a matter of voter bribery and baby murder. Hochul and Newsom have the track record Harris lacks.

I suspect Harris has some integrity.

“My vision of a progressive prosecutor was someone who used the power of the office with a sense of fairness, perspective, and experience, someone who was clear about the need to hold serious criminals accountable and who understood that the best way to create safe communities was to prevent crime in the first place. To do those things effectively, you also need to run a professional operation.”

“Kamala eyeing a run for Gov. of California..”
Why do we get stuck with her again?
Even if she does, she may regret it, once she realizes all Gavin has done to drive businesses out of this state.

Puerto Rico or Guam, or the Virgin Islands could use some of her ‘expertise’, whatever that may be.

Here’s reality: they can’t get rid of him or they are stuck w Harris (Trump wins w 360-400 EVs).

If they also try to get rid of Harris, race war inside the DemoKKKrat Party (Trump gets over 400 EV

If they stay w Rutabaga up TOTALLY TO MID SEPT ballots are printed for early /absentees. (30% of Devotes w Biden’s name ARE NOT COUNTED), Trump wins 538 EVs.

Power and money.. She will be paid bank when Joe steps down or is forced out, but she probably still has a lust for power, and if her deal to step down doesn’t include a power position(someone said supreme court justice to replace the wise latina who is in poor health), those rumors about her running for governor will no longer be rumors.

I don't disagree. BUT, Democrats are full of surprises when it comes to garnering or retaining power.

I think Kamala knows California government has promised more than it can deliver long-term.

She will make big money while California heads towards rock bottom.

Newsom knows he should abandon California for the big house in DC.

Trump’s personal wealth isn’t going to keep NY State afloat financially.

People always say that. Complete speculation that that would be offered or that it would satisfy her burning ambition

It’s the carrot or the stick, Kamala has no power that the DNC doesn’t let her have. They will either pay her off, or cut her off from the money train.

Don’t overlook Governor Wes Moore from Maryland. He’s a first term Governor, but he would be a formidable candidate. If he doesn’t get a look this year, he’s definitely running in 2028.

There’s always money that can be found for ‘community organizer’ types.

A book deal?

Some corporate board positions?

A college president job?

A DC law firm partnership?

Agree. She is old, whinny and still unlikable. She would also risk the indelible stain of being a three time loser.

Dems will go with someone younger and with less weighty personal baggage IMO.

For a VP to step down when her President steps down, she’ll probably want all of those....

…if they are going to replace Biden, they need to start pushing the alternative now, (actually should have been months ago)…

Johnson (spit) resigned in March.

The mantras of the last twelve months:

“Biden will not run.”

“The Fed will cut their interest rate.”

Still waiting on both...

The Fulton County, Georgia DA’s office needs qualified help badly.

I think the organization pays something like $250/hour for special counsel.

I mean they need to have him doing the media dog and pony show.. if they are replacing him no one would be guessing who it would be with by now, they’d have them out front and center running a campaign without running a campaign.

The replacement of Biden, if it happens, and it may, is simply an admission that they know the WH is lost, and they are playing to try to stop the down ballot destruction that is coming their way.

If the dems had a superstar of a the calibre that could step in at the last second and win this thing they would have never let Biden run to begin with...

They don’t have anyone of that calibre, so they have folks who will do better than Biden, but no one who can step in last second and win this thing...

So replacing Biden is basically admitting they have lost the WH and are just desperate beyond anything to try to at least motivate their base to try to prevent a full on down ballot massacre.

Doesn’t mean they won’t do it mind you, just I don’t see anyone on the bench with the talent or ability to both motivate their base and win the independent votes, particularly anyone who could step in at the last minute and pull it off...

If they had someone that good they would have ran them from the start, and never let Biden run... they don’t have anyone like that and they know it.

So, if they replace Biden, its effectively a tacit admission the White House is lost, and they are playing just to keep from getting massacred in the house and senate as well.

The Mean-Girl pecking order/ Office War/ Power Struggles should be over the top!

Kammy already has a reputation of running a hostile enviro office, with her staff getting yelled at if she looks silly on TV.
