Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) confirmed on Wednesday he would be attending a meeting on Thursday with former President Donald Trump.
McConnell told reporters he would be at a meeting with Trump and other Senate Republicans hosted at the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), signifying the first time he has seen the former president in roughly four years, according to Fox News.
When asked by a reporter if McConnell planned to “confront any of the bad blood” between him and Trump, or the issues regarding the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, McConnell stated he had promised to support the Republican Party’s nominee, “regardless of who it was.”

That would be interesting.
McConnell knows that Trump will be POTUS in 2025. He is basically burying the hatchet, knowing that Trump is going to go scorched earth and have thousands of Deep state scumbags executed next year.
Trump’s military will not be performing the lethal injections, instead he will allow that privilege to go to citizen law enforcement. Perhaps hold a few national lotteries, with the winner able to perform lobotomies on America’s enemies (like Banjo Boy and his adulterous wife).
I will have my surgery tools ready and waiting, in case I get lucky enough to win that lottery. /spit
Actually, I think the FBI and DOJ are giving it some stiff competition for that title.

I completely agree. He did an exemplary job with judicial appointments, and not just SCOTUS, but at every Federal level. And now more than ever, we owe MM a debt of gratitude for holding off that weasel/snake Garland from the SC.
We need all our allies, whatever we may think of them, on our side till November.

Trump had better not turn his back on McConnell or he might het stabbed in the back.

Trump isn't meeting just with McConnell. Trump is meeting first with the House Republicans, and then with the Senate Republicans, of which McConnell is a member.
