Hunter Biden’s conviction on federal gun charges Tuesday ignited a feverish debate, including among conservatives, over the constitutionality of the law he was found guilty of violating.

But thereafter, what is reasonable? A truly mentally ill person shouldn't be allowed firearms but that needs careful oversight and due process. A convicted violent criminal shouldn't either. Maybe the solution on the latter is that they should have been executed or in jail for life, thus removing the issue. Someone charged with a violent crime and released on bail? Okay, keep them in jail.

Incorrect - the waiting period is unique to various states and localities. It is NOT a universal requirement under federal gun laws. The application is a requirement for a purchase from an FFL and some states have similar requirements when purchasing from an individual. Plenty of websites cover this information.
