Hunter might deserve to be in jail for something, but purchasing a gun is not it.
There are millions of marijuana users who own guns in this country, and none of them should be in jail for purchasing or possessing a firearm against current laws.

I disagree somewhat.
I am pretty sure an average known drug addict who bought a gun and was caught would do at least some jail time.
do I believe there are other crimes commited by this Hunter which deserve jail time ? Yes, Yes I do.

AS far as I can tell, the crime is because a druggie didn’t disclose he was a druggie when buying a gun. Under these circ’s, I’d say confiscation of the weapon and a 5-year ban from further purchases would be an appropriate ‘punishment’ for checking the wrong box even if intentional.
25 years is draconian and is the end product of the leftists ‘gun control’ demands. They did this. Alot like the hightened sentences for crack over powder cocaine ended up impacting the blacks the most since they were the primary crack users/sellers.
