When the regime doesn’t flinch from using the full force of the state, and some admittedly terrible laws to either bankrupt its opponents or put them in jail (or both), they can’t be given a pass. They understand only force, and need to get the same treatment as they deal out to their enemies, good and hard.
But Massie’s still right on principle.
