Hunter Biden trial verdict: President's son found GUILTY of all charges at federal gun trial
Daily Mail UK ^ | June 11, 2024 | Josh Boswell

Hunter Biden has been found guilty of three felonies today in his Delaware gun crimes trial.

The Wilmington, Delaware jury unanimously voted to convict Joe Biden ’s son of two counts of lying on a federal form to buy a gun, and one count of possessing the firearm while abusing drugs.

The historic conviction marks the first time a current President’s child has been found guilty of a felony.

He will now await Judge Maryellen Noreika to decide on a sentence for the crimes, which could be as high as 25 years in prison and a $250,000 fine – though the typical sentence is much lower.

Follow all the updates from our reporters in court in Wilmington, Delaware, and our team covering the biggest stories in Washington D.C.

Dershowitz said last night the best thing that could happen in the trial is a hung jury or not guilty verdict. That would prove the system is crooked-—which he says already was proven by the unfair lawfare against Trump.

I know he is right. And this verdict is BAD for us all.

Jill would probably prefer to have him in prison where he won’t cause any MORE trouble. Ha Ha.

Rest assured that Hunter will receive a severe talking-to. No one is above the law.

Someone who steals and then discards the pistol in such an open way in a public place for anyone to pick up needs a felony charge.

Yep, Hunter sure is a child.

In this context, yes. He is the child of the President. Child could refer to either a son or a daughter. If they wrote “...President’s son...” it would leave open the question has a President’s daughter been found guilty of a felony.

YES!!!

As I am typing this the commentators on Fox are stating that that the laptop was important in securing the guilty verdict.

The SAME LAPTOP THAT WAS CALLED RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION BY DEMOCRATS, SO-CALLED SCIENTISTS, AND MEDIA PUNDITS.

“”I was betting on an acquittal since they were trying the case in a town in Delaware where everyone knows the Bidens. I guess to know them is not to love them.””

Your last sentence says it all. We can LOVE the judge as she ran the trial as it should have been done according to the experts:

There were several guests on Harris Faulkner’s show at 11 a.m - Jonathan Turley, Leo Terrill, Judge Jeanine, and another gal (attorney) commenting on the verdict. Someone said that Jill Biden was in the courtroom even for JURY SELECTION and NO ONE attends court when a jury is selected...meant to intimidate the jury no doubt! She missed the one day and that was it.

She and Biden’s sister hadn’t even shown up when the verdict was read. They were shown entering the building after we got the word the verdict had been read. Judge Jeanine said that the judge ran everything just as she should have and didn’t hesitate to have the verdict read with the absence of Biden family members when she could have held off. She gets high marks from all the experts..

Biden’s brother was shown entering but I don’t know if it was before or after the verdict. Could have been the same time Hunter and his wife entered the building.

IMHO, we need to start enforcing existing gun laws before passing any new ones.

Every time someone commits a violent crime with a gun then the feds need to pull their ATF Form 4473 from when they purchased the gun (assuming they didn’t steal it). If they lied on the form then prosecute them for it. If someone has a felony criminal record and lies on their application form we should be able to flag them immediately and prosecute them. If a drug addict like Hunter Biden lies on his application form and is later caught in possession of illegal drugs then prosecute him.

The Sutherland Springs Church shooter lied about not having any violent criminal convictions when he bought several guns. If they had flagged and prosecuted him then he never would have been able to shoot almost 50 people.

>yet he never used it to commit any crime

Didn't his laptop show he was high as a kite, taking selfies on his phone, driving at about 150mph across Nevada or something? Who needs a speeding bullet, a royally speeding car can kill just dandy.

$250,000 fine is the maximum penalty? That would be three month’s pay from Burista, the Ukraine energy company for who he did valuable consulting work.

There is still the tax evasion charge. Now that Hunter’s convicted, it may play a crucial role in the tax crime.

ALSO, Old Man Biden is giving some sort of speech this afternoon on gun control. I’m wondering if his son’s convictions will affect his speech.

Also, his “speech”😮

“Would you vote for a President whose son is a felonious drug abusing possessor of an illegal handgun?

Maybe, but NOT if the son gets within 50 miles of government business. Just have him over for Thanksgiving dinner and that's it.

Intriguing thought experiment - candidate Trump floats the idea that Hunter Biden could receive a future presidential pardon... depending on what he reveals about the Biden family business.

There is still the tax evasio trial in California. That one probably won’t be the slam dunk this one was, but we’ll see….
