On Monday night Chief Steven Sund responded to the video released earlier on Monday by the Oversight Subcommittee.

Officer Sund slammed Pelosi for her statement on J6 for the cameras saying she was “surprised” the National Guard was not at the US Capitol after she denied President Trump’s request to have National Guard at the Capitol that day!

It’s been a long time since we executed anyone for treason. "In 1953, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were convicted of passing nuclear secrets to the Soviet Union during the Cold War. They were executed in the electric chair. However, even at the height of Cold War tensions, their execution was controversial."

There is precedent, so controversial or not, it should be available as the consequence of selling state secrets and treason.

I know a guy who was in the Guard for several decades. He told me that at previous inaugurations they were held in ready status outside the Capitol.

They would have planned and trained for every scenario. In 2020, they were given stand down orders days before and told they would not be needed.
