Before 1973, the District of Columbia was administered by the Federal Government. Mariel Bowser, and her predecessors have shown that granting D.C. home rule was a big mistake.

It is patently obvious that they cannot govern themselves in a civilized manner...................

Walking around southeast DC at 2 in the morning? That’s just asking for it.

Especially in the Navy Yard neighborhood (Anacostia.) That was ill-advised back when I lived in the D.C. metro area during my high school years.

Map of Washington, D.C.

Actually, if you don't mind getting wet you can swim there across the Anacostia River from the Navy Yard. 🙂👍

I never lived there, but I’ve visited my sister in Maryland many times and we’ve gone to DC plenty. I’ve always known which areas to avoid and Navy Yard & Anacostia top the list.

The Navy Yard area has undergone extensive renovation and gentrification so this is a little surprising.

The cancer has spread to the Navy Yard.

Texas congressman says he was carjacked in Navy Yard by 3 armed suspects who ‘came out of nowhere'

These days, walking around any large US city after 2 AM is asking for trouble.

Maybe they should have enough sense not to be out in a libtard controlled city.

I won’t even go to a blue state

Are you “left Twix” or a “right Twix”?

I guess some things never change.
