Taxpayer funds are reportedly driving the recent job boom in New York City through a 2015 policy change that loosened eligibility Medicaid benefit rules.
The revelation suggests that New York City Mayor Eric Adams’ acclaimed credit for creating 300,000 jobs since the pandemic actually results from taxpayers’ subsidy due to a policy change.
Almost nearly all the job increases were created in publicly funded home health care, city documents show Manufacturing, construction, and retail sunk below levels in 2020 The rules permit people “eligible for home healthcare services to hire family members or close friends to care for them and be paid for their work through state Medicaid funds,” Bloomberg reported:

And H1B1’s, of course.
Puts the illegal “workers’ up in fine hotels in NYC to massage the grift.
This is one joke of a claim. NYC is dying with his help.
Just go to any job fair in New York, in-person or virtual and look at the job openings. Home health workers and aides to the disabled are at the top of the openings.
“in house assistance for refugees” ?
( i read recently calif. may STOP providing in house assistance for immigrants )
the “refugee” grift is the largest money grab grift the left has ever cone up with.
Its been economic fact for 300+ years, which socialists/Keynesians have tried to remove from economic history - printed, fiat, centrally-issued money (and the debt it supports) will ALWAYS flow to the state and its cronies first, to their benefit.
America will have ever-more such government-funded socialism and cronyism for places like NY, LA and DC, as long as we have our present Federal Reserve and monetary system - and it will only get worse.
aides to the disabled

and not being able to speak english is now considered a disability
Those 300,000 new jobs are in NYC alone.
You can bet that millions of those same type jobs have been created nationwide, by government which refuses to allow the jobs numbers to reflect the real numbers without government intervention to create those ‘jobs’.
Take the government jobs and the phony jobs, and the net increase in jobs, would be negligible and embarrassing.
The stock market should take into consideration that, the real jobs numbers are way less than what government advertises, and then, the fed might be willing to drop the interest rates.
ROFLOL
That’s the entire new job market. Government money, Government jobs. Nobody makes or creates anything.
Can’t pay for the Government, no worries, PRINT MONEY.
My brother-in-law in NYS took care of his elderly mother maybe as early as 2015 to her death in 2023.
He was paid much less than a nursing home. He was paid through the nursing home, so there might not have been any savings to the taxpayer.
She received much better care than she would have in a nursing home — yes she was disabled...required assistance in bathing, eating, going to the bathroom...pretty much everything.
I can possibly buy not being able to speak English as a disability if the home aide is getting the “patient” able to speak English.

i find that heartwarming.
God bless him and her and you and yours.
And every check gets UNION dues deducted off the top.
Yep, look it up.
That’s why there is such a push for it.
They don’t care about Grandma.
Just the 10% foe the Big Guy, in this case the Union Coffers.
Why is that? Did the NH supervise the situation all along or merely set it up?
CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE GETTING A “HOME HEALTH WORKER” WHO CAME FROM SUDAN or BELIZE???? or similar???
IS THAT THE PATIENT???
OR THE ASSIGNED WORKER???
Almost all government jobs are a net drain on the economy.
