A Jewish university chaplain who was forced into hiding over death threats has condemned the institution for not protecting him and his family.
Rabbi Zecharia Deutsch, who spent three years working at Leeds University with his wife Nava, said they will be moving back to Israel.
Rabbi Deutsch – an IDF reservist – claims to have suffered a shocking hate campaign after he returned from serving in the Israeli army for three months following the October 7 Hamas attack.

I don't know about UK, but Orthodox Jews are typically not leftists in this country. The Orthodox community in NYC supported Trump enthusiastically. It's the secular Jews in America who vote left.
The person in this article being a chaplain is not likely to be secular; altho in American universities, secularism seems to be preferred among chaplains who claim to be religious.

IMO posting suppositions about people without checking is verbal diarrhea, sloppy and potentially misleading since people assume that a reasoning person would have a reason for such statements rather than just generalized bile. It’s a slur on someone without bothering to check.
Freedom of speech means you can post whatever you like w/o checking for accuracy or pertinence but doing so is no service to the community.
