Now, Biden Announces Border Action After Claiming His Hands Were Tied For Years
The Federalist ^ | 06/05/2024 | ARIANNA VILLARREAL

After nearly four years of doing nothing to stem the border invasion his policies welcomed, Biden signed an executive order Tuesday directly contradicting his false claim that he did not have the constitutional authority to mitigate the record numbers of illegal border crossings.

The executive order will reportedly halt asylum claims temporarily “once the average number of daily encounters hits 2,500 between ports of entry, with the border reopening only once that number declines to 1,500,” according to The Associated Press.

However, when Univision anchor Enrique Acevedo pressed Biden earlier this year about whether he could use his executive authority to close the southern border, he replied, “There is no guarantee that I have that power all by myself without legislation.”

Biden has reportedly allowed an unprecedented 1.7 million known “gotaways” to enter the country since he took office, leading to more than 10 million aliens illegally entering the United States under his so-called leadership. Since Biden’s inauguration in 2021, he has undermined border security more than 60 times, as The Federalist has documented. As Speaker Mike Johnson said, Biden “has manipulated the federal bureaucracy to open our borders to illegal immigrants, human trafficking, fentanyl, and potential terrorists.”

The White House said in a statement Tuesday, “President Biden believes we must secure our border.” Yet the first executive orders he signed after his inauguration included halting the border wall construction that started under former President Trump, ending restrictions on immigration from countries rife with terrorism, and expanding the “illegal” Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which invites cartels to traffick children into the U.S.

Now, as Biden tries to clean up his roundly criticized immigration record, it’s worth noting his executive order will not mitigate the crisis. The order still allows thousands of migrants to illegally cross the border, as many as 2,500 per day. Another nearly half-million migrants could illegally enter the country before November without the federal government taking any action.

It’s no surprise that after years of standing idly by, Biden is finally taking action just months before the 2024 election. His approval rating has dropped to 38.3 percent, while Americans continually cite immigration as the “most important problem facing the U.S.

The president is also on the cusp of a debate with former President Donald Trump, the 2024 front-runner who curbed the flow of illegal immigration through policies such as “Remain in Mexico” and is sure to grill Biden on his disastrous handling of the border.

The only reason biden’s hands wear tied is because he’s into the kinky stuff.

I can’t imagine anyone supporting her, but if people could support the demented Biden, they can support the cackling Harris. Not even her own father supported her.

I guess the fact that people under rate her could work in her interest, though.

I can’t believe people fall for this. He’ll stop them at border crossings—maybe, but what about the rest who come in across the river. Doesn’t make any sense.

My theory has been they would go for re-election in 2024. If
a winner Biden would step down two years and one day after
being sworn in. VP Harris would step up to the Presidency and
serve the remaining time and could be re-elected for two full
terms if the voters so chose.

Whats sad for me to come to grips with is that so many “Americans” will parrot this garbage without ever investigating for themselves. Contempt prior to investigation...a principle that seems to infect the liberal left.

“Why are we not hearing about the misdirection, intentional weakness and even deceit in Joe’s most recent border action loud and clear 24/7 from R members of congress, instead of just on pages such as this and conservative radio?”

Because most of the Rs and their donors are all for open borders.

Because most of the Rs and their donors are all for open borders.

That, sadly, is one of the top three answers; including a lack of leadership, they are intimidated, coerced or bought off - or some blend of all.

A handful may briefly appear in opposition publicly, but that is often lip service that doesn't meaningfully represent to the entire body.

I’ve been watching these shows, “Contraband: Seized at the Border” about the immigration entrance stations. People wading across the ankle deep Rio Grande or climbing the walls are nothing compared to the crap that comes through “legally” with drugs, smuggled humans and all kinds of other illegal crap. Millions of U.S. dollars flow across that border every day. It’s unreal. A real eye opener. What they drag into America across those boarder entrances is sick. The commie libs love to say that Mexicans don’t sneak in across the borders anymore and that the Mayorkas’ Millions is made up of people from other countries below the border and caribbeaners. Watch some of these shows and you’ll find out Mexicans don’t need to sneak in anymore. They just come and go across the border as they please. A lot of the Mexicans that come and go on a daily basis are Mexican “U.S. Citizens” who live in Mexico.

He gave us three years of “there is no border crisis” hoping we’d all look the other way.
