They came to GA last year.....we didn’t get rid of them until it got cooler in the fall....I waited and waited and waited....
The spider is not responsible for someone’s antics of irrational arachnophobia......
Unvarnished sensationalism. ALL spiders are venomous. Humans are only allergic to a few of those venoms.
My poor wife has the worst case of aracnophobia I have ever seen. These critters look exactly like the woods spiders in south Louisiana. I wonder if they are the same and came into the United States with imports through the Port of New Orleans?

They probably come in every port in the US. Here, Banana Spiders are just a nuisance on hiking trails and parks since they make their webs during the night stretched across the trail or sidewalk. They are harmless but getting their thick webs off your head can take some time....................
