Monday on MSNBC ‘s “The Last Word,” host Lawrence O’Donnell featured a video of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg getting a standing ovation at Abyssinian Baptist Church after former President Donald Trump’s guilty verdict in the New York business document trial.
O’Donnell said, “Donald Trump didn’t go to church on Sunday. He never goes to church, never. After becoming the first prosecutor in history to convict a former president of crimes, the Manhattan district attorney went to church on Sunday morning as he always does. It is the church his parents brought him to when he was growing up just a block away from that church.”
In a video, Minister S. Raschaad Hoggard said, “Now I just have two words to say sister and brothers, two words. Are you ready for those two words? Alvin Bragg.”

Alvin Bragg is going down in history as the man who single handedly won Donald Trump his second term.
This is why we can’t have a nice country.
I guess this supposed Christian church missed the part about not bearing false witness.

If anything like the “Rev.” Jeremiah Wright’s church, the Abyssinian Baptist Church is probably heavy on politics and racial grievances, with only an occasional reference to the Gospel.

Back in the day we went to mass and the church was SRO on Sunday no AC wealthy Long Island money men with their entire huge families. The priest said mass he had a sermon on the gospel.
Politics, jokes, Girl Scout campfire music was not done
Now that church is like empty
Very few of his kind bring about anything useful apart from what advances themselves and their purse. In his case he also strives to be a ‘celebrity’ in the political arena of power.
Truly disgusting how some church people will fawn over corrupt celebrities. How will they answer for this on Judgement Day?

I don’t know if Trump attends Church regularly but he has been to the Church in Lamington, New Jersey right down the road from Bedminster where he lives during the summer months.
