Opinion: ‘Sue til it turns blue’ — Democrats pursue a lawfare election strategy in Wisconsin
The Hill via MSN ^ | 5.31.2024 | Chad Ennis

The left’s legal-industrial complex is targeting battleground Wisconsin ahead of the 2024 elections. Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias and friends sue in both state and federal court, groping around for courts friendly to their arguments. The newly elected Wisconsin Supreme Court is proving to be just that, but an Obama appointed federal judge has proven less hospitable

Recently, the Wisconsin Supreme Court heard arguments about whether Wisconsin law allows the return of an absentee ballot to unmanned drop boxes. The rules never mention drop boxes, but the Left is trying to impose them just two years after the exact same court ruled they were illegal.

In 2022, Elias, brought and lost this same case. At the time when “Top Gun: Maverick” ruled the box office, the court held that in Wisconsin, the law is black and white: a person must return an absentee to a person, the clerk, and not to an inanimate object such as a drop box.

But in another example of their sue-until-blue strategy, the left has returned to the Wisconsin Supreme Court to argue the exact same case again. The astute reader may be thinking, “Courts don’t reconsider cases for no reason. What has changed since April 2022?” The answer is very simple. There was an election in Wisconsin and the court’s makeup has moved to the left, making the forum much more receptive to left-wing arguments.

So here we are in judicial déjà vu, back in the same courthouse, arguing the exact same issues, with the only difference being the new liberal majority on the court.

Why are they pushing so hard for these drop boxes? In addition to in-person voting, Wisconsin allows for absentee voting. Absentee voters can send their ballots through the mail or return them to the district

Let’s cut to the chase. Trump will not win in 2024.

I agree. I will be voting for him, but I have lost all hope. The Republican Party won’t engage — I think they want Biden to get a second term. I think the cheating will be blatant and obvious and I think the Democrats will smirk and say, “What are ya gonna do about it?” I think we are thoroughly done as a republic.

Trump WILL win, the same as he did in ‘20.

The problem will be, not who votes that counts, but who counts the vote.

That is it in a nutshell..

South Africa, run by the Marxist ANC, just held an election. How is voting conducted there?

- Voter must register at least 3 months before the election. Registration closes after that
- voting on Election Day only
- special considerations and mail-in ballots allowed (for invalids, critical workers, etc..) but must be approved in advance, and ballot received before election
- One can only vote at one’s registered local voting precinct, nowhere else
- Each voting location has a designated Voting ID Officer. May demand multiple forms of ID to prove voter’s identity.

As much as it pains me to say this I agree. THere is no way in he!! they are going to let Trump anywhere near the white house again. They know it is a matter of life or life in prison for the deep staters. Even if the election theft is not successful they will try a good old fashioned assassination.

The Left NEVER gives up.

There’s a group out there that is still trying to get the Equal Rights Amendment from 50 years ago passed.

Abortion, Campaign Finance, Race-based admissions and hiring, etc.,... It’s all a generational struggle.

The only way to end this is for Republican DAs to start prosecuting Dems in red states. Unfortunately, Republicans want to remain ‘ethical’ in a dirty street fight.

Republicans lack the institutional leverage to confer legitimacy on such efforts. It might have worked in the 1980s or 1990s when Republicans controlled more institutions, but not now.

I will vote for Trump, but agree that the fraud from ballot harvesting and registering non-citizens will overwhelm us....and there is nothing we can do about it.

It is the GOP in the individual states that controls election laws, not the one in DC. Also, the Trump campaign is fully in control of the GOP and has done very little publicly to stop the steal.

We can only hope they are doing things in private.

With regard to the Republic....see my tagline.

RNC needs a team of lawyers to tie this guy up in court. Elias is the mastermind of election lawfare. Most of these states are lost due to the arguments he puts forth in the courts. He had a tremendous effect in 2020.

There is a difference.

Polling is NOT WHAT IT WAS. Trump never had substantial polling leads, averaged among many pollsters, nationally or in critical states. It did not happen.

But it is happening now.

From Sept to Nov 2020 the polls aggregate said Biden had an 8% nationwide polling lead. The election results were +4.4%.

BE AWARE that this was 7 million votes. 5 of them in California and 2 in NY. 1M in Illinois, which adds to 8 and the other states eroded that down to 7M. In no single state, not even Texas or Florida, did Trump win by over 1M.

The point is there was hyper concentration in Calif and NY.

This year, to date, the Trump polling aggregate is greatly stronger than that 8% number above. This is almost certainly a result of the explosion in Independent voters compared to 2020.

In all the battleground states, to date this cycle, Trump only has trailed in Wisconsin. So this article and leftist efforts in Wisconsin perhaps were not going to matter.

The hill to climb for the Democrats is quite steep. The techniques they are using to expand voting and allow arrival of late absentee ballots and dropboxes may very well work against them. It may allow more Independent ballots to be counted than would not have been.

Big difference between 2020 and 2024, is this time it’s Joe who has to defend his record.

The general point being . . . forget history. Things have changed. Abortion and guns and taxes and spending are not moving Independents.

They care about the Wall and they care about the Swamp. The Dems have not grasped this yet. They are campaigning as if it was 2004, not 2024. They are only 27% of the electorate and Independents don’t care about their worshipping at the altar of governance. Independents seek upheaval.

Biden is counting on democrap adjudicators in red districts where ballot creation size can be manipulated on voting machines allowing their adjudicators to flip votes on the counting machines. See Arizona.
