Medvedev reacted harshly to the Clooney Foundation’s plans to seek the arrest of Russian journalists in Europe

▪️ “The effort will be wasted: our professional journalists will find him first. These are very attentive and highly qualified people. And they are ready to chat with him “from dusk to dawn,” writes Medvedev.
▪️It was previously reported that actor George Clooney’s foundation intends to seek the EU and ICC to arrest Russian journalists abroad. The organization wants to petition the ICC to initiate criminal cases against Russian journalists who cover events in Ukraine in a pro-Russian manner.
▪️The Foundation also wants to encourage individual EU countries to initiate criminal prosecution against Russian journalists in the case of “war propaganda.”

According to at least one news report, Amal Clooney, the Lebanese lawyer wife of George Clooney, played a central role in the International Criminal Court indictment of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for War Crimes.

It’s seems like a natural progression for our Leftist journalists, who like so many in western societies are ready to throw out western intellectual traditions. Now to western “journalists” the only real “journalists” are those who agree with them.

No, I am no fan of Putin and his war and invasion of Ukraine, nor a fan of his minions, his propogandsists in Russia and embeded here in the west as well.

However, if the Clooney’s can succeed in this Nazi-like new adventure, then it will spread to all sorts of western journalists they don’t like as well.

The best free speech is free speech for all, even the voices you hate. You oppose the voices you don’t agree with by spreading your own voice, not by arresting those you disagree with.

Maybe someone should remind the Clooney’s that the success of their venture will create powers in society that may sometime view them as the enemy and seek their arrest.
