EXCLUSIVE: House Majority Whip Tom Emmer is demanding that the Justice Department "take immediate action" to prosecute ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen for making false statements and admitting to stealing during the unprecedented criminal trial of former President Trump.
Fox News Digital exclusively obtained a letter Emmer, R-Minn., sent to Attorney General Merrick Garland Wednesday, urging the DOJ "take immediate action" on the multiple criminal referrals from congressional committees related to alleged lies Cohen has told Congress. Emmer also demanded information on top Manhattan prosecutor Matthew Colangelo, who worked as a senior Justice Department official in the Biden administration . ...and provide him with a "written response as to why" he has "not moved forward with the indictment of Mr. Cohen....

Why is lying in a state court a federal action? Seems like the demand should be to Judge Mercan and the prosecutor to hold an evidentiary hearing and formalize charges. Of course, if Cohen has also committed federal crimes, then, yes, the DOJ should pursue them.
Cohen just said yesterday and today - No one is above the Law.
Nothing will happen to Cohen. He made a couple million in the last month.
All the Get Trump people are protected.
Wouldn't surprise me if Bragg cut a deal with Cohen and any others who testified for him, that they wouldn't be prosecuted for any previous crimes that came to light during his/their testimony.
Because Cohen is still on probation from his federal convictions. He has petitioned for early release from probation, but his judges have denied his requests.
I would think that continued perjury (even in a state trial) would violate the terms of his federal probation.

he admitted in a state court that he had purjured himself/lied during his 2018 testimony before multiple Congress committees. So it’s a federal matter.
I’m not a lawyer, but I don’t believe a state prosecutor can grant immunity from federal crimes.
Would explain why Cohen went out of his way to admit to stuff he didn't have to ... "Hey, I have an immunity deal for anything I say here in testimony today ... I'd better get a bunch of it out in that case!"
I’d like Cohen to be brought up on charges of theft. That’s easy to prove.
Again, this is a state issue unless Cohen violated federal laws to embezzle $30k.im pretty sure he was granted state immunity for his testimony.
Probably. Spit.
Yea that will happen.
More likely he will be promoted to fund raising for the DNC
These posers actually do nothing to improve our lives. They just stand around and bloviate trying to convince us they care. I’m waiting for a horse to be elected to the senate.
Israel should have a public policy that says every attack will be followed up by annexing the land where the attack came from.
