Tomorrow, in Cape Canaveral, Florida, a Boeing-built spacecraft is set to blast off toward the International Space Station, carrying a human crew for the first time. The astronauts have been in preflight quarantine, getting some extra practice for the historic ride through flight simulations. The rocket stands tall on the launchpad, with the spacecraft, Starliner, perched on top. The weather forecast looks nearly perfect.

Ya think Boeing has complementary life insurance for the crew?

I’d pass and wait for a SpaceX flight.

Wow, Boeing is going where no man has gone before: a full 250 miles above the earth's surface.

This whole manned space flight thing is a waste of time and resources anyway.

I think if it fails Boeing is going to hurt.
I knew one of the best rocket scientists in the world, he told me this boeing design was stupid and wrongly conceived.
He was Boeings top spaceflight design engineer but retired long before this project was started.

It's a jobs program, no more. USG gives a lot of money to SpaceX, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin to fly around the thermosphere and pretend like they're doing something. They all know they can't go any higher.
To: Right_Wing_Madman
Why can’t they go any further? Hard science only, please.
