This whole manned space flight thing is a waste of time and resources anyway.

It's a jobs program, no more. USG gives a lot of money to SpaceX, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin to fly around the thermosphere and pretend like they're doing something. They all know they can't go any higher.

Automation, robotics, and AI are where the real progress can be made. Think of how many more missions we could afford without the extra costs of manned flight. We will reach the stars much faster this way.
