Russia is expected to significantly increase the size of its military presence in Ukraine, with an additional 200-300 thousand troops set to join their ranks, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in an interview with Reuters.

The minister added that the current number of Russian forces stationed in Ukraine and along its borders stands at 500 thousand troops.

Umerov emphasized the urgency of mobilizing fresh recruits to facilitate the rotation of military personnel in response to the anticipated surge in Russian troop numbers.

"At this stage, we are focused on training our personnel ... pilots, we are focused on infrastructure, we are focused on bringing operational and maintenance teams and we are working on modernisation or bringing on more platforms."

“Keep beating that horse if you want, but the Ukrainian government was elected by the Ukrainian people, not “installed” by us.”

So was Victoria Nuland’s phone call a production of Artificial Intelligence or something? What the hell are you guys being fed?

...and then we installed a HOSTILE government in Ukraine.

Only Moscow's sycophants believe "we" installed the current government in Ukraine. The "CIA coup" story about the deposition of Yanukovich is an absolute myth. Ukrainians caught on to what Yanukovich was doing to betray the country back into the arms of Moscow, and 800,000 people revolted in Kyiv alone. I won't say America disapproved; our policy is pro-freedom whenever it can be, but to say that we forced Ukraine into it is ridiculous.

George Kennan who authored containment of the USSR warned about how bad this Clinton decision was that it would end up angering the Russians and so here were are heading for World War III and or Armageddon.

Kennan died in 2005. I don't think he could have had much to say about the relations between Putin and the West after that. He was, however, right about a lot of things Russian, including the simple fact that Russia cannot be changed, only contained. As closely as possible need not be said, no matter how Rumpelstiltskin-like they behave.

A phone call put almost a million people in the streets protesting Yanukovich’s treachery? Go on, pull the other one.

I have been in this game before, with every link attacked as anti-Russian or ignored.

It is not an attack on Russia to point out that their military is known for massive numbers, an indifference to casualties, for brutal limited training, and for relatively simple weapons and tactics. These are in contrast to the highly trained and well equipped troops and modern weapons that are the norm for the US and NATO.

Reliable standard reference sources put the Russian domestic economy as smaller than that of Italy. Of necessity, when productive resources are shifted to war effort, the civilian domestic economy suffers. That leads to a decline in the civilian standard of living, which, along with growing military casualties, is the sort of thing that leads to public discontent.

Eventually, even ordinary Russians will realize that Ukraine might be beaten and cut up but cannot be absorbed. Meanwhile, NATO has new members and their defense spending is rising. The technology and manufacturing base of the Russian civilian economy is in decline. The many dimensions to the cost of Russia's war on Ukraine will accumulate over time. There is no genuine victory to be had for Russia.

That point keeps getting pushed way into the future when you have European leaders talking about sending troops into Ukraine and the American President giving the okay for Ukraine to launch attacks inside of Russia

We’ve seen maps like this before. The only nation on the planet with the power to crush Russia and make that possible is the USA. Is that what you are advocating? War with Russia?

It costs the West 8- 14 times what it is costing Russia. Besides, in the coming weeks news of Russian allies invoking their commitment to aid Russian under attack from NATO may swell the rank by more than a million from the ‘stans....

Why did NATO train and arm 1.2m soldiers into a military 3x the size of the Russian military? Spare everyone the BS.

How’s that working out? The petrol dollar is dead. Brics is currently 35% of world trade and is rolling out a gold based currency. The US is bankrupting the EU (Competition) and debating our currency. Meanwhile, 40 countries more await membership in Brics to avoid the Swift sanctions and NATO enforcement if their failing economic world order.

The Russian version of NATO met immediately after Biden authorized US personnel/contract Missile personnel to begin targeting Russia on Ukraine’s behalf, and they are going to come to the aid of Russia with troops to assist against NATO.

Biden is surrounded by amatures and corrupt thug idiots.

The Chicago way is failing on the global playground. Biden has Trump convicted on trumped up charges.

Where is hat smart leadership in the US of which you tout?

In other words, the USA. Without us NATO is a pathetic joke.

That is the major reason for the outbreak of hostilities inside Ukraine. The Nuland Coup started all the killing, period.

Crawl back to some libtard forum and peddle your propoganda.

The only sector in the US economy not in recession is military procurement. This country has desperately required never ending wars since 2008.
