Nikki Haley, who campaigned on ending the “chaos” that follows Donald Trump, found herself in a strange position as the former president’s legal troubles exploded on Thursday.
Haley offered her long-sought backing of Trump just eight days before a 12-member New York jury found him guilty of 34 criminal counts of falsifying business records that could potentially carry up to four years in prison.
While other Trump 2024 rivals and vice presidential contenders have rushed to back the former president, Haley has yet to say a word as of Friday afternoon.
Since she dropped out of the race for the presidential nomination, she has continued to be a thorn in Trump’s side, amassing 97 delegates compared to Trump’s 2,219 delegates, according to the Associated Press.
Now some of her most ardent supporters suggest this is the moment for Haley to restart her campaign as a credible alternative to a convicted felon as the GOP nominee ...

I am surprised about this. Yesterday, when the guilty verdicts came out it was noted that she might be in Israel in the middle of the night. Well, that has long since passed. What gives? (And she is on X since yesterday, posting about 7 hours ago about hostages held by HAMAS but nothing about Trump’s conviction.)
That’s a good idea, I wonder if they really could move it. If Merchan changes the sentencing date, then that makes it all the more obvious to idiots that haven’t been paying attention.
The GOP should just deem him the nominee.

The under the table deal was if she attacked Trump, the RATS would back her as Trump’s replacement for Nov.
The problem is now the Base is so angry at the RATS, they would NEVER let anyone else lead the ticket in Nov.

They chose this “crime” as the precedent for charging and convicting a former POTUS on an inflated 34 felony counts. They have to portray it as one of the most serious and heinous crimes ever committed. I just can’t see where the penalty then becomes nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
If Trump were allowed to continue to campaign unfettered, the purpose for this charade and sham of a trial would not be achieved.
I don’t think the objective for this law fare needs explaining…we all know why they did this.
The Trump team needs to start researching whether she is eligible to run and settle once and for all, the Natural Born Citizen issue.
I wouldn’t rule out Biden pardoning him, “To bring the country together” and being the “Great Uniter”.

There fixed the headline. She might as well put that dream to bed. She will never become President as a Republican.
Changing the date of the convention may cost but it will throw a wrench in Haley’s plans and the dem plans. I hope they will consider it. I heard they could put President Trump under house arrest before the convention. Maybe or maybe not but these evil doers are playing to win and we must too.
I’m not sure she cares about any nation, My take on that is her looking for Jewish support, period.
